The ban on Russia in global sports somehow doesn't affect Formula 1 (which has World Championship status after all). So this will be a Russian Grand Prix, not RFU GP and national flags will be presented at the track?

I remember hearing that CAS sentenced would impact the GP as well.

Checking the F1 website, the Russian Grand Prix name stands, but there is a blank spot where the Russian flag was supposed to be.

F1 website doesn't mean anything. I was asking about the actual race track and Russian flags being displayed there.

So since FP2 times may well decide the grid, they really have to concentrate on qualifying runs instead of doing long runs. Would be quite unfair if a team decides that one driver will only do long runs and the other one qualifying runs.

They'll concentrate on long runs, save tyres to do quali runs at the end.

Congratulations Max Verstappen, Russian Grand Prix 3rd place driver

TBF all we need is Lewis at the back too and we'd be in for a pretty awesome race, lets see if fate provides...

I'd rather start from pitlane and avoid any first lap caramboulage, capitalizing on any red flag and safety car

plus, starting with a Mazepin alongside is quite a risk

he will start alongside LeClerc who also has a penalty for parts changed.
Russian GP, already best qualifying position for Mazepin.

They should have a special wet qualifying format, rolling back to the single shot qualifying, 1 car at a time, then there would be less spray and we can see who's really good in awful conditions :D

What's the point bringing full wets if they won't drive in tornadoes?

With Bridgestone Typhoon tyres it was never an issue. They could race underwater and still not aquaplane.
