Although the result was nice and the crash was hilarious, the lack of overtaking made it a procession. So as a race, it was below average.

What is this? Kubica appreciation thread? I thought TBK race ratings died years ago.

9/10.
The first half wasn't anything special, so it cannot be 10/10.
But the race definitely showed that unpredictability is what's been missing from F1. Our brains like surprises, and by golly, did we get a surprise today! Didn't even require mixed weather, so that's something.

9/10, because 10 is still reserved to Hungary.

Who was the actual driver of the day?

lol this thread

8 for me because it checked all the boxes of a good race: Different winner, title contenders having a moment and the slight prospect of Bottas charging for a win. But it felt like a boring race with great moments happening once in a while, like granola with some chocolate nibs in it. Borderline great race for me.

Danny Ric got awarded on a rare day the driver coming from behind didn't get it.
