Stroll crashed at the start after contact with Leclerc. Bottas won a fairly boring race after Hamilton got handed 2 penalties for irregular practice starts

The next race being at Sochi is not a very good thing.
The next race being the last race in Sochi is excellent though.
Therefore I don't know how to feel about this.

See Sochi borefest or watch the world championship cycling as they fight it out in my neighbourhood. Unless it rains in Sochi, the choice is easy.

Need some first lap craziness and another surprise winner to spice this up otherwise it's likely to be a procession and an easy 1-2 for Mercedes.

Perez should stop fucking up in qualifying and get a good starting position for once. And then divebomb the Mercs. :innocent:

Where are lewis and Max gonna crash this time?

Probably one of them trying to go around the other at turn 3 into turn 4 tbh, the one being passed will squeeze the other through the long multiple apex and it'll end in an inevitable t bone at the right hander when they can't get it slowed down...

Oh well, another race I have to watch on replay so enjoy your crazy wet race/no race at all, depending on how the pendulum swings this time

nah this is the Putingrad GP, chaos will be spared for the other races and Mercedes drivers will go steady and fast for an easy 1-2 to be greeted by Putin and then Mercedes will do their marketing as "the top choice for democracy haters"

I'm more excited by the fact that we'll have six F2 and F3 races to look forward to this weekend.

The only time we'll have F2 and F3 in the same race weekend this year, is in the shittiest of the shittiest circuits...

There was a race here last year? I don't remember a single thing.

I only remember the Danny Ric moment of the day: Ocon lets him by on team orders, but does so like a fuckwit at turn 1, which earns Ricciardo a 5-second penalty for cutting turn 2.

Gets radio'ed about it. No moaning, no complaining, just: "No problem, I'll make up for it". My man then proceeds to build the gap and some more, keeps his position. His masterclass drive at Monza last race (final la fastest lap in particular) reminded me of it.

Same here. Nothing :tumble:

Weird thing is that I really like this track in F1 games. It's smooth and quite easy to master :D

I only remember that Lewis got some practice start penalty or something like that. But dont know anything about what happened in the race, so probably Bottas won.
Of all the Russian GPs i remember 2015 well cuz there was a bit of rain and Grosjean crashed big time. The rest meh

Luckily current forecast says 100% chance of rain for Saturday. But after Spa we know that unless it's just a drizzle, they do just 1 lap under SC and call it a race. So whether it's dry or wet, the result is shit.

I read this and the airfield track in Florida came up to my mind.

I liked more when St. Petersburg was called Leningrad
