Crowd booing Hamilton. Outside of the UK, this man is not popular.

I imagine they doing what football fans do here with foreign teams. They go during late night nearby the hotel where the team is located and start doing fireworks so they cannot sleep well

I guess that wouldn't happen in Zandvoort or Spa right? Or all the drivers check in the same hotel?

Well I have to give Hamilton credit, he has become increasingly adept at putting his vast experience to good use by staying just within the boundaries of the rules without flat out crossing the line. I haven't seen any post-qualifying comments yet, but I'm sure he will flat out deny any wrongdoing (intentional or otherwise) in order to maintain his holier than thou Instagram image, or his sporting integrity as Toto likes to put it.

well he's doing what Schumacher but better specially getting away with so few penalties

dunno why Red Bull hasn't resorted to the crashgate, unless Milton Keynes and Faenza shops are wired, they could make that with no fear of ban

Well, the rules of engagement and policing of them were a bit different in Schumacher's era, but for sure he had a win at all costs mentality and definitely wasn't as 'refined' as Hamilton when it came to pushing the boundaries. Lewis on the other hand has been quite calculating/shrewd in his battle against Verstappen, and it'll be interesting from a fan perspective to see this battle seesaw all season until the last race hopefully.

I just hope the Red Bulls with the soft tyre can mix it up at the start, to have a proper race.

I'd say Bottas will make sure that the Red Bulls can stay away, even causing blunders by Verstappen which could cause him to drop more

this is a Hamilton's track, 26 points in the bag

Schumacher's worst offences were during years that he wasn't in the best car by a significant margin; this is the first time Lewis has been in that position in 7 years. If the pressure on him continues expect to see more obvious gamesmanship stunts.

Looking at the laptimes, Mercedes don't even need to play games here. They are comfortably ahead of Red Bull. Hopefully some rain or a poor start from Lewis will make it interesting.

Don't get your hopes up - it should be dry for the race. Will be a green track, though

New PU for Verstappen.

He’ll be on his 4th soon enough so this WC is easily going to be for Lewis. Should be leading today and won’t lose that lead anymore.

That radar looks encouraging, but I've been disappointed too many times with F1 and rain. Let's see...

hopefully it's wet so it cancels out any tyre choices

Won't rain. If it does they'll run behind the SC until it's time to switch to slicks >.<

It should start raining within 30 minutes, and should last about an hour. So at least the first 10-15 laps should be wet... unless they delay the start for 30 minutes.

Don't panic, rainkiller 3000 is already activated and Mercedes has requested to change the starting time because of heavy booing should be protested against with 30 minutes of silent standing ovation.
