Felt like Lewis had to claw that one out by his fingernails to hold off Max

He who made slightly less mistakes on their flying lap got the pole, almost a Half spin n pole lol

Except it's not a pole is it, oh well.... :whistling:

Oh great, crowd shots. How I did not miss them. Expecting them to cut to crowd whenever they should be showing important events tomorrow and on Sunday.
To be fair isn't this the first race with full capacity crowd since Covid started? I'm happy to give FOM a pass this weekend for the novelty of having a crowd

the crowd cheering today was awesome. Maybe it was the same ones from the "it's coming home" thing

similarly to what happened in the late 80's here. Supporters were let down by the national team so they relied on Senna

I assume the sprint race is so late (4:30 pm local) due to The Open (golf)?

2pm here, might be able to watch this live. :D

Anyway, just watched the qualy session. Amazing! Seems like FP1 was wild as well. Maybe just ditch the FP2 for this weekends with sprint races.

I'll never forget the sound of the crowd to Russell laps. That was great.

I’d go with “congrats you won the pole for our next disgrace” award

What was that Saturday race in 1985?
