The problem with this forum is its default mode of expected posting is "Everything is shit, every driver is shit, lol how bad is F1 these days, it was better in the past when it was shit too, what a boring race on a shit track in a shit era"

If anyone dares say anything positive about a driver, team, track or season then suddenly they're either fanboys or deluded

There's only Spa 98 and Hungary 04 with nothing in between.

Maybe we should bring back rating threads. You know, hardly ever we see a 0/10 race or 10/10 race. Most races are between 3/10 and 7/10. But after a dull race it's easy to call it shit, because we are not F1 journalists doing reviews. If you had to analyze the weekend, watch the race again, look at all lap charts, telemetry and stats, then in the end you probably think the race was "ok" after all.

This season is great, quit the bullshit. We saw some great races already, and the championship fight is still very close. Just enjoy this after 7 seasons of domination. And I'm sure we will see many more great races. Sure styria wasn't the best race, but we had 2 blockbuster races before that one. Monaco was kinda boring but that's every year the same. All the other races were pretty good too. Bahrein, Imola and Barcelona were immense. Portimao had a good beginning but then was kinda boring too. So 5 great races, 2 average ones and 1 boring one, great season so far in my book.

the problem is that cars are still quite ugly and some driving standards are very questionable

They will put up with him as long as his driving is OK. At the moment it is so I don't see any danger for him. But if he starts to really struggle his attitude will be the deciding factor I think. But attitudes can be changed.

Alpha Tauri need to hire a tougher race engineer like the one at UNI-Virtuosi who will just tell him to just be quiet, quit complaining and get on with his job.
