The season is still long but I’m slowly starting to believe Max can take it all the way to the end

This is what happens when the wins stop being earned and start to be expected. It's good for the sport that this is on the way out.

This victory started when Perez managed to stay that longer and got Mercedes puzzled. Once again Perez did the job Gasly and Albon failed to do.

I still don't get why Mercedes put both eggs in the same basket today. They had two drivers with race-winning pace (something that Perez didn't have) that were pouncing on Max. One of them should've been pitted

Hamilton is right though that once Max made his second stop their only chance to win was to stay out.

Made for a better race

Makes you wonder where that mysterious Baku pole came from given the long straights

The whole Gorilla thing is a statue from a famous sculptor or something. It's the same as the pit entry statue.

No further idea what that is all about, lol

Live played anthems. That doesn't look usual these days

Amazing race, Perez did a great team work to confuse Mercedes.

That Austrian anthem is really the worst of them all.

I don't think the Max of even one year ago would have recovered from that mistake in this way. For the first time in years Lewis is going to be pushed all the way for the title.

The thing is, once Lewis will retire, who on this grid and which team will really challenge Max if Red Bull doesn't screw up this winter?

Leclerc if Ferrari doesn’t do a Ferrari? Norris is McLaren can make a few more steps? Russell?
But I am fearing a max dominance and the orange army getting even more annoying

Mercedes has fucked up strategy at least twice this season now.....

They have a point tbh

We all want F1 to be a huge contest between multiple teams but in reality it just goes from one team having the advantage and using that to dominate then immediately switching to another

2003 (Williams/Mclaren/Ferrari) and 2012 (....everyone) Are about the only seasons I can remember where more than two teams had a chance at the title, it's never a bunfight between multiple teams liek we'd all wish for

We might be watching the decline of Merc and the re-rise of Red Bull, but lets enjoy the small overlap window while we can ;)

Wasn’t suggesting all could challenge but one of them might be up there making it somewhat interesting
