I'm not sure this is fair, Perez has been in the sport for 10 years after all

Maybe having 10 years of experience and not being thrown into the lions den of a Red Bull team as a realative newbie without mental toughness built up over years in the sport has something to do with it?

Also don't forget almost the same thing happened to him after his year at Mclaren, luckily he wasn't tied to a ladder series program and still tied to Mclaren who then threw him into DTM or something so he was able to earn his redemption.

gotta thank Pirelli for providing the race scramble today

but I still can see Mercedes going to FIA to find something to cripple Red Bull until the end of the season

That or Honda is the only thing I see stopping Verstappen from getting the championship now, knowing how bulletproof the Mercedes is, particularly on Hamilton's side of the garage.

that either. Red Bull still didn't got any failure so far. I predict it can happen at Silverstone, Spa or Monza

Pretty sure Merc will turn things up soon and Lewis will be 25 points ahead by September.

I though I already saw a (Dutch) article maiming they’re aiming the equipment RBR is using during the pitstops

He drove close to Hamilton in the first half of the race was an actual threat to Max during the first pit-window. I think he was okay today and the poor result is down to the team.

The exact part where he went wide and verstappen passed him was 100% Bottas to blame. He got fooled by the oldest trick in the book by Max.

Bottas is known for his bad defence. If someone tries to pass him, chances are high that it will not take a lot of effort. Not only now, but in many past seasons.

Yeah he went defensive and compromised his line when Max wasn't close enough to pass in the first place

Without that move Max might have had to wait for another lap to get him and we'd have had our fabled last lap pass for the win thread updated with an F1 race for the first time in like 20 billion years lol

Yea, Bottas sucks at defense most of the time and did today too but tbf, Hamilton rolled over and died without any hint of a fight today, when Max was closing in.

Yes, when Max and Lewis goes off under braking with worn out tires, it's because they're on the limit, but when Bottas or Kimi does same mistake, they are shitty drivers.

And you call me a fanboy.

Max did that a few times already. When Lewis was clearly faster he never blocked aggressively. But that wasn’t in the last 2 laps.

Was watching a replay of the final pass and you can hear the crowd cheer. I guess people are really tired of seeing Lewis win.

You´re not a fanboy, you´re a finboy. You would probably not give a damn about these drivers if they had a different nationality.

At least he actually tried to defend, Hamilton was caught out completely by Verstappens overtake.

Looked to me like Perez went off track as he finished overtaking Bottas, shame there weren't any decent replays of it. Think that might be why they kept Bottas out in case Perez had to give the place back

At least my nationality has some significance to me. And I'm not a blatant idiot who can only say "Bottas sucks, bring in Russell, who is from my home country" after every damn race.

BTW, it's actually Finnboy, not finboy, but what ever.

Mercedes protested on that T11 incident and kept Bottas on track. The idea was to get the position back and more points on constructors' championship.

How ever, they should have put Bottas in pits and get fastest lap away from Max instead. Mercedes is in full panic mode against rising Red Bull. I expect Merc to file a protest on that flexiwinggate 2.0 before next Grand Prix.

If Bottas hadn't missed the first corner of that chicane, I'm sure he would have been overtaken at Signes, just like Perez did to him on hard tyres.
