Think about what's involved: Airports, passport control, customs, security checks, visas, long flights, jet lag, checking in bags, insurance, travel in countries, living out of a suitcase, language problems, being away from home. It is the grand daddy of long slogs being an F1 mechanic. You really earn your money. |

Best thing would be a steady schedule of 1 race every 2 weeks, for the people working there and the fans. Triple headers are hard for fans with a family too if the others aren't into F1. Teams would need like 2 shifts if they continue like this, one week shift one works, then the next weekend they are home and shift 2 works. Only this way you can keep them fresh and happy. In a few years I bet we will see some bad effects of the heavy schedule. Mistakes by mechanics, burnouts, and fans will get bored of too many races. 20 races should be the limit |

I like that they're bringing back some gravel, but it doesn't look as if there is enough. Corners like Bruxelles should have gravel as soon as you go off circuit. It looks as if there will still be tarmac on the first part of the run off, so drivers can still outbrake themselves and barely lose any time. You want to see dramatic moments, like Lewis in 2010, crawling through that gravel trap and nudging the barrier, but just about getting away with it. With tarmac, he loses half a second and continues on. Same with La Source. I thought the point of the gravel was to stop cars deliberately running wide on the exit. It looks as if they can still do that. Hopefully the changes will still be an improvement. |

In most corners there still will be some margin for error in terms of asphalt run-off, especially on corner entry. But from what I can see in most places it will only be a couple of meters, so your mistake has to be properly small if you want to take advantage of that. Let's see how it pans out, I think it'll be an improvement for sure From pictures I've seen the exit of La Source will be completely gravel, so no more running wide. No asphalt at Fagnes anymore either Also, Ecclestone is saying he doesn't believe Hamilton will return to F1, according to this source: https://www.blick.ch/sport/formel1/ex-f1-boss-bernie-ecclestone-91-im-exklusiv-interview-glaube-nicht-dass-hamilton-zurueckkommt-id17094902.html Make of that what you will, I'm pretty sure he'll be there. |

Hopefully Spa (and Zandvoort) will show an example to Paul Ricard, Hungaroring and other sanitized tracks that gravel is the key to track limit madness. Though I realize that without FIM they wouldn't have done anything. |

Anytime gravel returns I'm all for it. Yes, I blamed Bianchi's death on the tarmac run-offs in the rain. It's not a safer option when it's wet. The Sepang deluge in 2001 resulted in harmless spins in the gravel. Nothing wrong with that. |

I wish they didn't have to bulldoze some of the cool old buildings around Spa. They added something special to the atmosphere that linked the modern circuit to its past. That said, the clear need to push the barriers back at certain corners takes precedent over nostalgia. |

Pretty eye opening about who actually designed the MP4/4 and that Gordon Murray might not be all he's been made out to be, skip to around 48:30 for the jucy parts |
