he made good points, specially about how qualifying could work

too bad it'll not be adopted and he's still says in the end what we all are saying even since they came with this thing

If you are going to have sprint races, the easiest way to decide the starting position is a bit Moto Gp style. Fastest laps from FP2 decide the starting positions for the sprint. It isn't rocket science and don't have to do mental gymnastics to make it work.

Why are people obsessed with the quality of sprint races - they only award 3,2,1 points and just set a grid.

The same pessimists also complain about the Daytona 500 Duel races which are even worse.

I still believe that sprint races shouldn't exist, and if they are going to do it, they must make a challenge out of it, like having to race with DRS on at all times

I still believe that those responsible for the 3 sprint races we had should be forever banned from holding any position in racing.

Its nothing more that a disgusting money grab. They lie outright over the success.

At least Bernie was ready to back off when his ideas were not liked. Ross & Stefano will do no such thing, dismiss all negative feedback and go full Trump by praising their ideas. Never. Go. Full. Trump.

Bernie's only problem was trying to stick F1 with old rich guys like him, apart from that he operated the series like clockwork

and talking about rich people who is the mobster laundering money at Barcelona, just saw they signed a new contract up to 2025, what a disgrace

Hopefully, at least, they will remove the chicane. But will it improve racing? I doubt it. They should put Spanish GP for November slot to increase the likelyhood of rain.

RIP Frank, a salute for a man who dominated F1 but tried to make things better in the sport unlike some dominant teams from this era

RIP Frank. One the giants of F1 history. Formula 1 wasn't just business for him, but a passion and a way of living. Williams gave us so many great winners and champions that it's hard to imagine what F1 would have been without him. I'm glad his name is still on the grid, even it's only a brand now.
Despite his condition, we could say he lived a full and rich life. I salute you, Frank.

on a more remarkable note, Frank was the last one of the original british garagistas to quit the series (Chapman passed away*, the same with Bruce McLaren, Ken Tyrrell and Eddie Jordan sold for a profit while both legacy teams remain quite close, Jack Brabham retired from the whole game, Bernie simply let go to take control of FOCA and eventually FOM) while many others vanished. He came from nothing and people still salute his name because his team was so damn good and it was a work of someone from a working class background that persued his dream and achieved more than he could expect

guys like him, Enzo Ferrari, Colin Chapman had a passion for racing and also a passion to win. Unfortunately F1 has no room for passion anymore but we still remember by his legacy

Just wondering. It took a bit more than a year after leaving the sport for him to die. This team was his life. Massive respect for his passion for the sport we all love.

Yep same here. Bad time zone to watch live and then I read the races were uninteresting.
