I mean, W Series has an Academy team, their drivers were able to do an F3 test at the end of the season.

Making a whole new team sounds unreasonable but mandatory amount of FP1 sessions for their team (if they belong to a driver academy) or whoever wants to see them if they're free agents is pretty doable.

That and academy drivers having priority to replace drivers if necessary.

dunno why Liberty wouldn't fund a new team for upcoming drivers, they could place the sponsors that F1 has anyway and employ many people that lost their jobs from cost cap

They don't even need a new team, 20 million towards any seat they could afford, and you plaster how ever many title sponsors you can on them. Simple.

Just noticed that Alonso will pass Kimi's race record mid next season.

Well, when you look at the race starts, Verstappen has been in the sport since 2015 and already has 141 starts. With 22 - 23 + race seasons all the old school feeling of race start records are kind of becoming irrelevant. 141 starts used to be an entire career over a decade.

Remember when Patrese retired and everyone expected his record 256 race starts to never be broken?

AMuS is quoting Ross Brawn as saying that the team-to-Race-Control radios will be done away with from next season.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Verstappen is a confirmed driver at this point. It takes at least that to beat Hamilton and make less mistakes than him (if any, during the races). We're like parents who wake up to the realisation that their little kid is now a grown-up with a job and a house, because not long ago we saw him come into F1 as a fresh teenager with no experience.

I think it was Motorsport.com's Instagram account that pointed out today how every time Sainz scores a podium, it is in some way dazzled by something dramatic happening.

It's amazing how he stacks great performances that go unnoticed, whether they are podiums or great charges from the last places of the grid. He really lives to his Smooth Operator reputation. I guess he'll end up being champion and something really bizarre will happen so that we don't see it happening.

I'm sure that when he gets his first win, it'll be the craziest of races and someone like Mazepin or Zhou gets a podium, and that takes all the headlines.

There's no better way to finish off this weird season than having a Haas driven by Robert Shwartman setting the fastest time on the final test day...
