webbsy is right, you completely don't understand how unethical it is for someone in a position of power to be giving inside knowledge to certain groups of people. The more I hear about Salo, the more I wonder why the FIA ever employed him.

Like I said, you are painting the picture and assuming things and nitpicking evidence to support your own believes. That's a big no-no for a qualified engineer, but obviously you wouldn't know about that.

This would mean the FIA isnt happy about it and this could be the final straw. Point 2 is also interesting and makes sense. If someone where to leak info regarding penalties before they are officially announced, people could bet on that and make a good buck.
