Here’s my theory: they gave Hamilton this stupid 5 sec penalty because they don’t want Hamilton to win here in Russia to get Schumachers record because they want Hamilton yo get it the best round at Schumachers home Grand Prix

If Vettel isn't underperforming, and the car is genuinely that bad, LeClerc is driving absolutely brilliantly.

It's a shame that Kvyat couldn't get past Ocon. Had the pace to catch LeClerc and Ricciardo. He seems to be driving better recently. I feel like either Alpha Tauri driver could be doing a better job than Albon. I wanted Albon to do well this season, but it isn't working out for him. That seat seems cursed (or all the effort goes into Max's side of the garage).

Also, great drive from Perez. I could be wrong, but didn't Stroll get the upgrades whilst he was without them again? Outperformed Stroll all weekend (granted, the accident didn't give Stroll a chance in the race), and had a strong drive to overcut the Renaults.

The other thing that made me laugh was Bottas giving an 'F You' to his critics. I feel like he should have saved that for a race that he won on outright speed. I doubt he would have beaten Lewis without the penalties. Still, it was good to see him actually be aggressive and try to take the lead at the start.

I agree but penalty is too harsh 5 sec added to total time would be enough. But was it ok no it wasnt.
I see all cars lining up to do a practice star in the lined box where you can do it. And Lewis didnt have that 10sec time to wait so others to do theirs. So he exited pitlane and did it there right after the blind pit lans corner where cars come over 250kmh form pits.
Yes he was fully to the right next to wall but still a bit of dangerous situation.
If all other 19 drivers did their practice starts in the desires box to do it but Lewis did it elsewhere, so that 1 driver was surely wrong.
Now he will soon get race ban, plus if he is lucky he might catch virus and then he is out 2weeks. Thats 3 races.

He really needs to read that FIA F1 rulebook again, cuz after Monza he certanly didnt.
I want to say cuz of these stupid mistakes he might loose the championship to his team mate.

Well, it's no surprise to see that whiny Lewis Ticktum has returned. A P3 is still a very solid result with minimal damage to his handy points lead. Gets 6 easy wins handed to him on a platter and still whines about the penalty and throws his team under the bus for the strategy over team radio. It seems like his true colors always come out in the heat of the moment. His first instinct seems to be to blame the team first when something doesn't go well during the race. But I'm sure he'll come up with some rosy 'we're all in this together' social media post after the race that his woke fanboys will gobble right up.

it's a pity they revoked his points, I wonder if he managed to make another bonehead move to get more license points, one race suspension

so we could see Señor Oops doing funny things in his car
