As with most of the drivers, Suzuka is my absolute favorite circuit in the calendar. While it's nice to see them race here so early, I have admit it feels strange. As long as I remember it's been a tradition that one had to wait for "a whole year" for Japanese GP. Suzuka has been the place where championships have been decided, even when it hasn't been the season finale. This year it doesn't have that kind of special feeling, and even Max can't win the WDC just yet :p Early Suzuka also means the latter part of the season is seriously lacking old-school track, Interlagos being the only one after Monza. Solution: have two races here ;)

Weather-wise the overall picture is still unclear. A few days ago it looked like a washout / cancellation territory, but since then the forecast has changed. While GFS model shows dry weekend, ECMWF model shows still very wet Sunday. I guess we are wiser on Thursday.

Shame F3 and F2 nor F1 Academy still won't support F1 here...or at Montreal. Two tracks that could certainly produce nice racing in feeder categories.

Definitely better than a 3-hour red flag wait and eventual cancellation.

But that 45min race of 2022, I already watched it twice after seeing it live and re-watching right now again.

Check the gap between Alonso and Vettel with 10 minutes to go!

This.

Back in the day, I used to pray for we weather races. Now, with every race being cancelend/procedured under safety car conditions as soon as a few drops appear, I just hope for a dry race.

that race was great, after the finish nobody knew what were the points scored and then turns out Max ended up with the championship (and FIA once again changed points rule)

Sargeant will drive a repaired version of the chassi that Albon totaled in Australia. Williams will only have a spare chassi in Miami. So any critical crash in the next two races might cost Sargeant another start.
