Considering I should hate his type (entitled rich kid), Lando is becoming my second favourite driver after Ricciardo. He's fucking hilarious.

Watching Drive to Survive and I never realised how "forced" Daniel's persona is.

It's definitely hiding his more driven side, and a front for the TV cameras, and even a way to psych out his team mates with his seemingly happy go lucky persona and practical jokes

But then, as I'm always saying, what drivers do outside the car, I couldn't care less about. He's good behind the wheel and that's what matters

This is just silly, everyone's getting penalties at Monaco

First the Indy debacle, then seeing Monaco where people literally not give a shit about racing lines, hitting the wall or getting a penalty, and I'm really over this "games replacing reality" stuff
If the drivers aren't taking it seriously, why should we waste our time?

Classic re-watches or nothing for me from now on.

There are some good online races around, but the ones promoted by F1 don't seem to be really good. I think I gave up on these when Herbert cut the first corner in Bahrain. But I wouldn't expect a totally serious race when you invite the singer of Despacito to be part of the field. It feels more like those football matches before Monaco GP when we usually see guys like Schumacher or Kimi on the pitch. And that's okay when you set these expectations.

But I must say one online league per week is enough for me. I tried both F1 and Veloce at the beginning and now I am sticking with The Race which seems to be doing the most pro job right now. It's good to sit on the couch and watch some live racing - it's not the same thing but it's enough for the time.

From what I can see on social media (you can't get around that), it is just driving around with cars that can't get damaged so they crash into each other, and cut corners all over the place. Some get penalties for that, others don't, so it is waiting for them to cross the finish line to see how many penalty seconds everyone as gathered

What is Formula E doing? Are they having a proper championship? I read an article yesterday of Abt cheating and getting a fine of 10.000 Euro, and that Audi hasn't scored a single point in that championship. Are they actually thinking serious about this?

The fact that F1 2019 is dogshit doesn't help.

The V8 Supercars iRacing championship is pretty good, both in terms of racing and production. The All-Star series is also pretty interesting and with decent racing on rFactor 2.

Abt was fined for having an esports driver drive for him. The other drivers caught on pretty quickly because Abt hasn't been any good and he finished 3rd out of the blue. That and the fact that the driver's face was always hidden by a monitor and didn't respond to any interview calls.

He's admitted and apologised.

The Legends Indycar races were good. That was no damage as well.

Even with the usual dumb crashes the Legends race tends to have, the Mags/Button battle at Lime Rock a few weeks back was good too.

Yes, but it's not the one you were referring to:

Make no mistake guys, no lockdown-era racing can top the above. Warning though, Mercedes is leading the championship

That is so brilliant that I am going to take my time tonight to watch it in full! Why isn't this on TV?

At least in The Race events, the damages are set to 25%, and at the Indy oval they ran with no damage at all.

About Formula E, they are doing a championship with fundraising for UNICEF. Most real drivers are taking part in the series.
