I'm hoping this eventually traces back to Wolff and his smug face gets a lifetime ban from F1.

The FIA are just withholding back their full punishment until hulkenberg gets his podium, then they'll slap them with a ban/DQ or tell Mr Stroll to open his considerable wallet and fund the whole damn show for the next 10 years....

I'm quite sure Wolff is looking forward to snatch the seat of mr monopoly or even Jean Todt

it'd be like Bernie, but worse

Holy shit are tRacing Point clutching at straws. They're even bringing up people copying wings when they first appeared in F1 :slaphead:

The best one was that seeing that they designed the car in 2019 it was legal in the 2019 regs when it was designed.

If I were them i'd have a different design ready to go. I think the backlash is WAY bigger than the FIA thought it was going to be. Which is just stupid.

An observation: if this sport were still under the control of B.C. Ecclestone, the first thing that would be done after the end of today's race would be a private "suggestion" to Mario Isola that Pirelli soften up their tyre choices at every single race to come, and that for those races where the softest 3 compounds were already going to be taken, a new softer compound should be made, possibly out of molasses.

Let us see what Liberty do.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Truth be said, when we had that fun race in Canada in 2010, Bernie came up with the idea of shorter mileage tyres that worked very well in 2012 and early 2013. An idea that was received very skepticism in the first moment.

Also, I think what F1 is missing now is taking a shorter time between decisions and actions. Lots of decisions that take 18 months for us to see the first results and fewer tweaks that bring improvements to the show right now.

What we need is a nice old fashioned tire war.

Yes please. Bring back Goodyear and Bridgestone.

Yes, I said "and" because three tire manufacturers would be better than two. :8:

I used to hate the races of the tyre-war era of the mid 00's. But that probably would be an easy way to shake up the field a little bit.

And yes, more than two manufacturers would be way more interesting that only two.

tire war could be a good thing if they use that to balance performance. two tire manufacturers sign a contract with Liberty and they'll choose based on performance.

Crap tires to Mercedes/Red Bull and good tires to Haas/Alfa Romeo

Dutch government issued code orange for parts of Spain including Barcelona. Basically meaning they're urging people who come back from there stay home in quarantine for 14 days.

Now I doubt Max will go to the Netherlands after that race but wonder if other countries will follow and if it will affect the race. They cant afford another Australia farce so will have to decide in the next 2 days or so.
