lol no

Perez's fans are terrible. You just don't see them in mainstream F1 social media, because they don't usually know english.

I had a bit of a discussion with some (just for the lolz). Apparently you HAVE to be a Perez fan, if you're a spanish-speaking latin american.

They can fuck themselves.

And about Perez, good for him. I've never rated him as a top tier driver, although this year he has been brilliant. For his sake, I hope next year's car isn't Red Bull's version of the MP4-28.

haha pretty much like some fans here with brazilian drivers, they claim you are commiting treason to the motherland if you say anything bad about our poor men that went abroad to make a career against tough competition

I think Perez has always had great potential, fighting for podiums with Sauber in 2012 showed his real potential in the early season. After the accident at Monaco he seemed to be a bit out of shape for a while, but move to McLaren for next year sounded like he could win races for 2013. Of course that was the season when McLaren started their downfall, so Checo got blamed for all the mistakes he did when trying to push that car to podium positions where he thought it should be.

So, 2020 was the first time he had a winning car (of 2019) and he was able to capitalize it many times over during the season. Next year he's first time in a real winning car and has championship material teammate next to him.

I'll say let's wait and see if this will be like Vettel vs. Weber. Checo probably feels no pressure after all that Force India/ Racing Point or what ever you want to call them turmoils. If he can win with the 4th best car in the grid, he knows he can win more with 2nd best car.

And with all that said, Bottas best eat a truck load of porridge during this short winter break and upgrade to Bottas 5.3 5G XS Max+ Edge if he wants to be an F1 driver for 2022.

It strikes me more as Hamilton vs Button than Vettel vs Webber tbh

Let's face it, it's still Max's team

It's just now they have a better chance at pressuring mercedes as they'll have 2 cards to play within Mercedes SC window so they can use one to eat up the tyres and pressure them and the other to conserve and play the long game, etc
Instead of one near Mercedes, they potentially will have two.
But lets not pretend Red Bull is suddenly going to stop being all about Max, Perez role will just be to support the number 1 car and take any spoils on the days Max crashes or has a technical retirement

If the compettition between the two is exactly the same as Albon/Gasly. Yeah, it's the car.

yeah, i still expect max to have the edge. having a more experienced teammate might actually help him mature even more than he has the past couple of seasons. it would be good for max to have a teammate who can push him and challenge him. here's hoping perez can be that guy

Haas brought in Mazepin because he brings the worst of Grosjean and Magnussen, plus the money

Big question for 2021 is if mazepin will last longer with haas than rich energy lasted in 2019 and if it will be a loltastic breakup again

Twitter going wild with talk that Mazepin's about to get the chop in favour of Pietro. Seems to be quite tenuous, being based around bio changes and deleted content, but I can see that Haas have unfollowed him on Twitter, which is a bit odd

Haas should go with someone experienced to help develop the car

No need. FIA will make sure that Mick races an illegal car to be able to fight near the front :p

Hulkenberg and Schumacher would make a really good pairing at Haas. A solid experienced driver for Mick to learn from and a German compatriot too. Shame Nico can't bring a healthy amount of sponsorship with him.

Hopefully for Haas its either the FIA stepping in or Mazepin himself pulling out of the deal because daddy Mazepin is still sueing the Force India creditors for not selling the team to him.

so what about a hostile takeover by Dmitry Mazepin over Haas in classic russian fashion: with blackmail, false accusations and mobster involvement?

Last week Pietro was awarded some incentives from the Brazilian government as well.

Motorsport.com had a story yesterday of Steiner praising Pietro's showing for the team...
