I'll say it before and I'll say it again.

3 car teams could do so much for the sport.

- More opportunities to youngsters on the edge of F1, presuming 5-6 more teams go for it 5-6 more cars on the grid
- 25-26 cars on the grid
- It wouldn't be that much more expensive to build 3 cars instead of 2. They already haul tons of shit to each race, they probably currently haul enough to build 3 cars currently with spares.
- More testing, more cars on track

Why it would suck (right now)

- Instead of Mercedes 1-2 dominance it would be Mercedes 1-2-3 dominance.

I seem to recall that teams said it was actually very expensive to run a 3rd car but that could also be a white lie by them.

I rather see team sell their old cars to new teams so we have 26 starters again. Maybe even a few DNQ's. Allow 1 car teams again.
Racing Point proven very clearly this season that buying last years dominant car wont automatically mean they're #2 in the field. Yes they gotten a win but others, with 2020 cars, could fight them.

Here's a better idea - all the drivers sharing all the cars

Idea explored here at 8:45 (the whole video is interesting, as is the channel while we're at it, if you're into factual balanced takes on F1).

There's more going on here if they actually keep Albon. Is the Thai market that important for Red Bull? Are they investing millions into the company or something?

well Red Bull first appeared in Thailand, but I guess that don't have anything to do with it. I guess they are simply stubborn to hire outsiders from their junior team

Dieter only owns 49% of Red Bull. The other 51% is owned by Thai investor Chaleo Yoovidhya (49%) and his son (2%).
But if they truly wanted Albon in that car because he is Thai, he'd be confirmed by now.

Yeah saw this earlier in the day, was somewhat relieved to see that he's stable but hopefully it's nothing critical.

Well, sir Frank is the longest surviving quadruple paralyzed (or paraplegic) person and he's 78 years old already. Let's hope it's not covid-19 or something else very serious.

I have no clue how to read this but on reddit it says that Sao Paulo is now confirmed for the GP for the next 5 years.

yep, is part of a new deal between Liberty and the state government. So the race now is to be called São Paulo GP and not Brazilian GP

We've always told the people involved with the attempt of the Rio GP were shady as hell. Glad to see them dumped and to see São Paulo staying for 5 more years.

And indeed the Red Bull-owned speedweek.com - the announcement will be tomorrow: https://www.speedweek.com/formel1/news/ ... Perez.html

I mean, considering the pressure Perez been under since his departure from Force India was announced, he has been spectacularly good. At least top 4 in F1. Breakout year, one could call it.

If he goes i hope Perez doesnt underperform.
RB looks like a pretty toxic environment if you not perform or somewhat like Verstappen.
