They are moving the Olympics from July to next year.

F1 season is not going to start at Canada, if at all. :(

They should just claim that the 2020 season is done, and that if any race can be run this year will count towards the 2020-21 super season.

WELL DONE BAKU

Do we have a confinement shit-post thread? Because we definitely need a confinement shit-post thread, but I'm not starting it, no way I want to be banned during this period.

I can see pretty much the teams called AMG Mercedes and Red Bull confining their staff in the factories and work to develop even more their cars, thus when they return they'll rape the field

plus is the best time to enforce success ballast or BoP

Methinks Nigel's social media advisor had that scheduled for a long time

Yeah! I can see a 20-21 super season unraveling.

Start it by July/August with half of the European races + Northern Hemisphere, then move to Southern Hemisphere from October to April and get back to Europe to finish it and give lots of free time for the development of 2022 spec cars.

Yeah.

I doubt it would happen but it would be cool if at least one high profile driver swapped teams (between high profile teams of course) between the two seasons, or season.

Like Hamilton going from Mercedes to Ferrari. That won't happen though but just using it as an example. :beard:

Now hear me out.... what if the Abu Dhabi GP starts on New Years Eve and ends on New Years Day?

Imagine the driver contracts expiring at midnight and they have to switch teams during the race. :8:

don't worry Abu Dhabi will be so uneventful that they will end the race right before midnight and do the happy new year on the podium

But when exactly does the contract expire? At midnight in Abu Dhabi, or at midnight where the contract was signed, most of the time in the UK I assume?
