well, Lewis make them look like fools doing that in a moment of large audience that is the podium, which they claim is "an official solemnity", also using Austria 2002 as a case of breach of an official moment

plus Mazepin is rather irrelevant and has money and a dad who makes personal threats to other people to takeover their businesses, and I'm pretty sure that also happened to keep his son contract

What did Mazepin do actually? Is this still about that video, or is it more than that?

He punched Callum Illott few times for a block, while blocking himself in a dangerous ways and more often. He's also being racists towards Tsunoda, but I'm not familiar with that incident.

But yeah, the outrage came from that boob squeezing Insta Stories video. Rest of his incidents are more or less acting bratty like posting comments in Insta.

I wouldn't rate him as bad as Ferrucci.

I didn't see the video and I'm sure it's offline, but from what I heard, the girl didn't mind and was a close friend? So this was taken out of context and blown up again, just like most things these days?

Again, didn't see the vid.

Well thing is she released that statement but has since unfollowed Mazepin on Insta and posted stuff about assault and not drinking around certain types.

now that I saw the video is important to point some things

1. the girl was visibly drunk, which makes matters worse
2. he could claim she had a wardrobe malfunction, but he didn't
3. even though they claim it was a practical joke or something, this is the kind of stuff you don't put online

and of course, the Haas need for money and the FIA/Liberty silence on the matter makes everything even worse

but let's wait until he's with dead tires pulling a dangerous chop over other drivers and causing incidents, how long until he gets all the points for a race suspension

And if she wasn't threatened or bribed to put out her "OMG guys it was just a joke, it's all been taken out of context LOL" statement, I'd be stunned.

Mazepin is a nasty piece of work, people are noticing it and keeping him in the sport only paints a picture of money is more important than behaviour or morals (well, we knew this) and is a ticking time bomb until it happens again.
WHEN, not if.

Ferruci was the worst person we've had recently and he was the douchiest douche whoever douched, and racist on top of it
But he literally never phsyically beat up one of his rivals for an on track incident
I'm stunned the FIA said that was acceptable and it proves that daddy Mazepin is going to use his milions to correct whatever henious thing his son does and legitimise it. From what i've read, Haas seem backed into a corner and it's Mazepin money or no team, so it's really on the FIA to act here.

I have a thing against pay drivers as we all know, but seeing Mazepins behaviour makes you realise that however entitled and less talented Lance or Mick may be, at least they were raised somewhat decently, are nice people to their team and mechanics and don't get themselves into potentially career destroying shit outside of the race weekends.
Not until the bottom of the barrel is scraped do we realise how fortunate we are.

In the future F1 is going to be more paydrivers and driver's sons than anything else, we just have to hope they're yes daddy good boys and not "my money means i'm better than you" fuckboys.

Please don't feel personally attacked when a group of people who happen to share the same opinion as you about a driver (or any societal issue) are called out for acting racist. These people don't need defense, and certainly not from sensible people. Just remain honest in your opinion and keep defending it with integrity and empathy, smart people will notice the difference and won't lump you with the covert racist shitheads. You have every right to be annoyed with some of Lewis' actions and persona and I can really see how it can be the case - even if I like him.

I can see where Scotty comes from though. There are instances (not all, but some) where you just feel where the underlying speech is coming from, even under the cover of seemingly innocently criticizing other aspects. This should never be the first conclusion you come to whenever you hear criticism against a minority, but after exhausting all options, you're sometimes left with no explanation behind the speech but a deep dislike of the person for what they are, not just what they do.

Oh I dislike Lewis for who he is, no doubt.

But it has nothing to do with skin color. That is irrelevant to me in any context.

I don't support the guy as a competitor in F1, but it's well deserved!

We've already had a Prince and an Earl, so a Knight kinda makes sense :flag:
