If you are looking for a reason to be excited about this GP: Who will be 3rd in the championship, Verstappen or Leclerc? And who will be 6th and therefore best of the rest, Gasly or Sainz? Hoping for Sainz as Gasly was part of a top team in the first half of the season. |

That 6th place was Albon's, until Hamilton suggested otherwise |

10 years later and I still dont accept this race. Hard to believe it has been that long already. I remember watching the first one in Alaska which seems like a lifetime ago. |

Did it rain last year or was I suffering from boredom induced hallucinations? |

T11 a fast left-hander into current T14. Maybe extend the run into T17 and make it a left hander into current T20 (or just go straight from 16 to a hard braking into a tighter T21). |

they have shitloads of money to do that. If that didn't work they have 2 options: -bulldoze everything and start from scratch -install sprinklers on the track that will go on randomly between laps 15-45 |

I find it to be a rather enjoyable track to drive in sims, but utterly boring to watch on the telly. Will probably be another Mercedes 1-2, with a procession behind them. |

Albon still has chances even though it's unlikely. codename_47 wrote: Did it rain last year or was I suffering from boredom induced hallucinations? There were a few raindrops indeed. But nothing capable of changing the course of the race. |

If that didn't work they have 2 options: -bulldoze everything and start from scratch -install sprinklers on the track that will go on randomly between laps 15-45 I'm sure I said this last year (but then every race thread is just a rehash of TBK opinion greatest hits eh? ) but when we first arrived in 2009, the chicane before the hairpin was supposed to be a temporary thing because a track inspection revealed there wasn't enough run off at the exit of the hairpin. Then this was quietly forgotten about and the chicane has remained ever since, although Micheal Schumacher and Nico Hulkenburg might argue it's more dangerous as it is, especially at the starts.... I also remember the big deal about how unique the runoff after the long straight was because it goes under a grandstand, but then I don't think anyone has ever used it either. (Not in F1 anyway, IIRC there was a big sportscar crash there when someone lost brakes) |
