Good. Last year some people got passed with 4 wheels off the track on the outside there (Kimi vs Max?), this simple solution will avoid many headaches and controversies.

I don't even know why the green turf is still there. It's only a safety buffer if all drivers target to never go past the curb, and the green turf only used for small mistakes so as to avoid spraying gravel back on track. When used consistently as the main racing line, any small mistake will still result in going to the gravel and you're back to square one, why not just have the curb then gravel?

It irritates me that no track or governing body seems to get this, they keep adding green stuff, which is just as if they extended the track's asphalt width but painted differently. If your aim is to increase cornering speed, sure go for it, but that's not the primary purpose which is safety and a recovery line for small mistakes.

It also becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy where drivers go wider, they add more green stuff, that drivers use again, so you add more green stuff, etc and you end up with complete farces like turn 1 at Austria and this turn last year. I'm glad they're taking a step in the opposite direction for once and going slowly back to the goddamn grey stuff that you're supposed to race on.

If you don't want gravel there just put grass. Mistakes should be punished and the fastest way around the track should be on the track, not with any wheels on the runoff.

I really hope they bring Parabolica back to the way it used to be.

Come on, you know there's only one possible fix to parabolica. Cheap as well, using existing roads:

Max repassing Kimi around the outside of luffield was the best pass of the 2018 season and, though I'm normally as strict as anyone about track limits, I'll fight anyone that says its illegal....

Raikkonen's broken down

Also the straights are noticeably narrower. Looks kind of weird
