F1 desperately needs some kind of handicap or balance of performance os success ballast to stop Mercedes please

yeah, instead of trying to change the rules all the time to make it all even, that would be the best and easiest. For every win, add a few kilo's. In the end the midfield cars may also take a win then

New rules from 2021, that is all you get.

Let's face it, Ferrari upper management is crap. They need to put the Italian hot-bloods away and go back to the methodical 'Moneyball' days of Todt/Brawn. That worked well. Ferrari is it's own enemy like the NY Giants these days. Toto Wolff is like Bellichick, he always ends up laughing in the end!

Screw the artificiality of ballast. The winning team of a GP should be forced to use Ferrari management and strategists at the next race.

Whoever said that every cost-cutting plan actually RAISES the costs because you have to throw the old package away and build a new one from the scratch which is always more expensive.

Cost-saving is something IndyCar did - using the same chassis for 8 seasons :roll:

chassis development should be frozen, but not engine

Colin Chapman is rolling in his grave... F1 is no Saturday Night Dirt Bowl where it's all about fun. We have enough spec series around the world for people to look elsewhere... :wave:

Besides if all resources would go into engine development then factory teams would kill off everyone including the Red Bull whiners.

Just use the formula E qualifying system, 8 different winners in 8 races. Puts the championship leaders at a disadvantage during qualifying, and the F1 bosses are happy because there will be a Q4 session this way, even a Q5 (superpole). It's the easiest solution to stop Mercedes getting every pole and win
