Because Indycar has that for decades and its very successful and surely F1 will not take ideas from inferior series.

Someone brought this up on Reddit's r/formula1 the other day, and they acted like it was the dumbest fucking idea anyone had ever heard, and the way F1 does things is perfect because it's the safest series ever. :slaphead:
