I'm more concerned about the Dutch "fans" being embarrassing than the race being a total bore-fest.

I'm expecting multiple SC periods because some jackass lit an orange smokebomb or two filling the entire track in smoke.

It is awesome to have a Dutch driver being so good but boy suddenly everyone is an expert.
My sister could not be bothered 1 second when my dad and I where watching F1 in the early to late 90s. Now she plans everything around F1.

I like the flow of it, better than the unsexy sharp angle tight corners we often get in modern tracks. Racing will probably be near impossible, but it's a good flow track. Incidentally, the RedBull chassis should perform well there and Max will get driver of the day so everyone will be happy.

Imagine Max crashing out in corner 1.

And imagine how easy it is to go after the race if that happens :P

There'd be a riot in either case...

Would people's views on the "success" of Robert Kubica's return be different, say, had he been teamed with a less capable driver than Russell, and fared better?

riots more likely if he wins and then gets a penalty (wether if it's fair or not), pretty much when a home team scores in the final minute of injury time and it gets disallowed by VAR

I love the look of Zandvoort. Really nice flow, fast corners, and hopefully a bit of grass and gravel to keep things challenging. Could be difficult for the current cars to follow each other closely, but hopefully that will improve in 2021. Looking forward to it.

There. A positive post about F1. I've surprised myself.

latest gossip from shitty site: Stroll buying into Aston Martin, renaming Racing Point to Aston Martin.

Pirelli will have to come up with tires that last the whole race

dutch gp will have less overtaking than Monaco and Singapore

I have a feeling Lewis will move to Ferrari, he seemingly does care about his reputation and bringing a title back to Ferrari would cement his reputation as an all time great

Probably still about 70% of the fans of the sport don't like him, for various reasons.
Most of them will suddenly switch to singing his praises the second he puts on red.
Hell, it'll make F1 Reddit more of a tolerable place to be.
They even excuse Vettel's poor season for various bullshit reasons, so Lewis will be untouchable to them if he was Ferrari.

The 2 biggest keys to 2021 will be how RBR-Honda will perform and if Mercedes keeps the team going.

If RBR-Honda fails to deliver, Max will be looking elsewhere. Potentially triggering big shifts
If Mercedes sells the team (potentially to Penske) I can see Hamilton move to Ferrari.

What can you expect from a man who has been nearly a decade away from the highest level of motorsports and comes back crippled, driving the absolutely worst car in a grid against new generation's one of finest? The fact that Kubica was able to even do such comeback is a story of itself. The results were par with Michael Schumacher's comeback. It was never going to be a Cinderella story, not like the first three Rocky movies. Don't hate Robert for not delivering that, because life is rarely making miracles possible. That's why they are called miracles. Kudos for Kubica for trying the impossible.
