that was some good racing at Monaco, even though you knew they weren't able to pass they were pushing and trying

and of course, with better looking cars with raw V8 power

No gimmicks, no strategists, just pure all out racing. Completely pissed all over the GP.

Well, this Grand Prix was almost a breath of fresh air after a few exciting races. I felt nostalgic of the Sunday afternoon nap.

Vettel says the VSC system is abused. LOL, guess he forgot how he won Australia already...

Only 3 places? Would've given him 10. That was a pretty amateurish stunt he pulled.

the penalty should've been worse since he done the incident too early enough to spice the race up, that's a crime for a mischievous driver

Right up there with the excuses after Monaco 2006 qualifying

He lost control of the car. He locked the brakes and lost it in that corner. We've still got to talk to him and find out exactly what happened. There was a lot of cursing on the radio.

Finally, a race in 2018 Lewis deserved to win

Still, the race was boring no matter who won it, jaysus when will F1 realise high downforce and this track don't mix.
Were the entire late 90s/2000s not enough of a lesson?

Ferrari's fuck up and random retirements were about the only interest, I'm glad I didn't watch it live and continuing watching Monaco, Pau and Nurburgring.
Oh yeah, it rained at those places too, which helped :P

Can the stewards please explain why they "only" gave Grosjean a 3 place penalty? That was alongside KMag's side swipe of Gasly as the most reckless act of the season. The reason why his momentum carried him back across the track was because he kept his bloody foot buried in the throttle.

I agree with Steiner. Of course Grosjean is an easy target (when he spins his car directly into path of the following pack. It’s hard to miss him).

I don't even begin to understand how a driver of that caliber can do that. The initial throttling got him to drift along the white line, the car seemed to settle for a fraction of a second, fair enough until that point.
But right after, it became clear that it was a goner, long before his rear wheels even came back inside the white line. That's when any driver, even an amateur, would've stopped the recovery, slammed the brakes and accepted the spin. And I'm talking visually, in the car you'd be able to feel it coming much earlier. That was NOT a millisecond decision like stated in that disgusting interview from his team principal, or you have no business in motorsports. It was an all-out, 1.5 second brain fart and 1.5 seconds in the seat is like 20minutes of everyday life.

It's worse than his one-race-ban Spa mistake in 2012. It's just unforgiveable, and he knew it. When you just crash out of a race for a racing incident, you don't sit down on stairs in contemplation for 10 minutes.

Grosjean's move reminded of myself playing Forza, when I spin and do my best to keep the car in the middle of the track to block the rest of the field.

Indeed it wasn't the most professional move I've ever seen in motorsport.

Grosjeans faux pas at turn 3 is nothing new, its common on the ovals in the U.S. to "light up the rears" in an attempt to keep it out of the wall. Example - Michel Jourdain at Chicago Motor Speedway in 2001 (on my YT channel ;-) )

Except there is no wall next to the track.
