I remember the not moving in the braking zone rule getting scrapped but not the one about more than one move.

But how is this not exactly more than one move? I feel there were two very distinct moves, one to the right and one to the left.

Usual steward inconsistency?

In Indycar just the reacting to Ricciardo moving would have gotten him pinged.

Another excellent race by Verstappen.

Ruining his team's chances
Overdefending
Double moves

He's lucky Ricciardo was tired of him and went too agressive.

OH BUT HE'S STILL YOUNG SO IT'S OK

And another mistake by Vettel
what a driver

Grosjean's fuck up was hilarious. Yeah, it was definitely Ericsson's fault.

Ericsson braked heavily creating a forward air move towards Grosjean who lost stability on the rear and crashed

Shame I missed the race.
I'll just say, is that even legal? Max is a fucking moron. moving back after one move, its going to be a crash every single time, and its against the rules,no talk about it. Happened with Kimi in Hungary and Spa 2 years ago ,happened today. Guy deserves a ban.

The inside move hadn’t worked for Ricciardo on Verstappen any other time during the race. I get the impression he’d had enough of his team mate’s overly feisty driving and threw one up the inside, regardless of what the end result could be.

Both drivers did their signature moves. Dan an audacious outbreaking, Max moving multiple times under breaking to defend.

That’s four for four now for Max in 2018. Pretty good hit rate, pardon the pun.

Had the same impression. It felt like hitting Verstappen was an acceptable outcome for Ricciardo right there.

I think if Dan tries to pass him again he won't be so generous and give Max so much breathing space like he did today. On both of those occasions when he went to the outside, despite going deep he gave Max room. Next time he might just pinch him into the corner like he did when he finally got past.

The big no no for me was when they banged wheels. Dan ran it deep but gave Max room, and Max just opened up the steering and tried to squeeze Dan out of the corner, rather than avoiding him. That was ever only going to end in contact there and was totally an avoidable incident.

I feel that the way Red Bull reacts here will determine if Dan stays or goes.

I can't help but feel that with the way they drive Sainz, KMag and Max are going to have an almighty crash one day (most likely taking someone with them), and people will tip toe around the issue of well they got what they deserved because they were driving like dickheads.

Oh and how long will Hass put up with Grosjean? Complains like a teenager and isn't brining the car home like he should.

To remove all doubt of how full of shit the steward's decision and the "Max's move was perfectly legal" comments here are: https://www.formula1.com/en/championshi ... lties.html

Quote:
More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted. If a driver has moved off the racing line while defending their position, they may move back but must ensure there is at least one car’s width between their own car and the edge of the track.

How come we didn't hear any of the pit radio after the Red Bull crash?

that was awfully dangerous wat Max did at 340 kph. Max should have just given the space, it is quite possible that Ricciardo would not have made the corner. Sometimes you have to use the few braincells you have.

Remember that he went straight from Formula 3 to F1. We all know how bad Formula 3 has been in the past, such as Spa 2013.

Alright I know we are all (well most of us anyway) jumping on Max here, but it is with good reason. He actually changes direction 3 times after the start finish line. Right at the very end he starts to itch back over to the racing line.

But this isn't just a Max problem. I am baffled that the likes of Sainz, KMag, Grosjean and even Perez haven't received time on the sidelines from some of the antics they put on. Especially Sainz and KMag.

There will come a time when there is a monumental accident involving one or more of those guys that dare I say (shudders) justifies the pathetic Halo and the FIA will jump up and down saying see we told you so, when in fact there wouldn't have been an accident in the first place if those guys weren't being retards with the way they drive. If ever there was a time for the FIA to be serious with driving standards...that was it.

I'm so glad that Max's antics in braking zones finally ended up in a crash. He couldn't have done it "better" than with his teammate. It had to happen one day, and thankfully nobody ended up on their roll hoop when it did.

I really hope that it brings him to reconsider his driving, but after his comments in China gave a slimmer of hope he still kept being a dick all through this race again. I'm really afraid he just won't grow up and become the tail end of a "de Crasheris" joke despite his immense potential. If you get Ricciardo (the best late-breaker and cleanest overtaker of the championship) to crash square into you, you know that you're really that bad at defending.

This.

I wonder if RBR bosses will finally understand how underrated Ricciardo is.
Right now, Danny has a far better WC potential than Max.
