Gary Anderson is pretty sure Red Bull are right up there; they just didn't get a chance to set a representative time. According to his calculations, their best fuel-and-tyre-corrected time was the best of the lot by a couple of tenths.

Gary Anderson is a clever bloke.

That looks like a load of fun, wouldn't try it with the torque an F1 car has

I could have sworn it was on the GP track, on the Nordschleife is just nuts.

I think those burn marks are caused by the Honda powered car doing better than Mclaren.. Pretty severe burn to Mclaren and Alonso.

Found that one on Reddit :)

And in the meantime the STR is running lap after lap with the Honda engine. Its still testing but it really makes you wonder who had the biggest part in the failure of the McLaren-Honda adventure....

As said earlier, it was the size zero concept.

Vettel and Bottas have spent the whole morning trading best times, but Vettel is currently 0.2s faster on the medium tyre than Bottas is on the soft. Perhaps 2018 might not be the silver-wash we expect...

Mercedes have said the new car is an evolution of the old one, so it would make sense that it still has the same vices. It was noted today that there is hardly any difference between medium and soft compounds on the new surface, so maybe this is masking things still.

First day of testing. McLaren: oh dear oh dear. Williams and Sauber look very similar in frontal view, and you don't really notice the halo when they pass at mid/high speed.

McLaren really are taking this whole retro thing seriously. From the orange paint job down to the early 90s level of reliability. Problem is the rest of the field is in current day reliability mode.
