Kubica developed a reputation at Renault for being very demanding of the staff to try and improve their position, which rubbed a few of them the wrong way. The rest didn't mind because he put in the same effort.

It seems that part of him hasn't changed at all.

Just when you thought their treatment of Brendon couldn't get any worse this year...sheesh.

He is demanding but he is also very good at telling what is wrong and what should be changed. That's why Renault staff was happy to work with him last year because he is one of those drivers that actually knows what is wrong with the car and what needs to be change without them asking billion questions to learn what the problem really is.

He actually told Williams at the start of the season that they would do better if they took last years car and put this year specs on it, because this years car was shit. They didn't listen and well you know the rest. It was funny when he said it on Polish TV and everyone was thinking that he was joking.

EDIT: As expected, today Williams and PKN Orlen announced partnership deal.

That might explain his open critics to the car during this year.

Brian Tyler did a live presentation of F1 theme these days. For me it was good reminder of how this theme sticked so well with F1.

Absolutely, I'm not saying it's a bad thing (it's why Renault came back so well after their craptacular 2009). It's what Williams needs.

I was a bit taken aback that it was his first proper day on the job and he starts by locking the engineers in a room until midnight. I was expecting him to maybe ease himself back into it.

They did a post on Instagram today thanking him. A bit late, I would say.

Late, as in: "We recieved a lot of flak because of it, so here it is"

It's bad enough when they treat young rookies like shit, but we're talking about a respected driver here. If you don't show this guy consideration, who are you going to show it to?

Even more of a smack in the face is that they bought him out of his Indycar contract for this year so he could drive the car, and now he's been told to take a hike, that Indycar seat has been filled by someone else.

Hope they paid him bucketloads of cash to make up for it.

Frankly, I thought we wouldn't see this announcement. I was imagining they would announce Stroll together with an announcement of the 'new' team. It surprised me to see him with Force India stuff.
