You know? I think they should encourage both Hamilton and Vettel to get into a post-race brawl on pit road, rather than penalize Vettel. One wrecks the other, both drivers throw punches at each other in the paddock after the race in the full view of everyone watching. Then the teams get involved. Mercedes and Ferrari crew guys fighting each other.

And before asks, of course I'm being serious. I want to see a scene like NASCAR had at the end of its Texas race in 2014 where two teams and their drivers are beating the hell out of each other. How funny would that be?

And at home Bernie Ecclestone is sitting, squinting at the screen through one eye thinking "Damn man, if I was in charge i'd be banning all social media posts about this and getting this shut down, this isn't good for the sport, now lets have a nice press conference where I bribe them both to shake hands and smile and pretend they're friend with each other and lets get on with the business of Motor racing without all this personal rivalry nonsense"

"Now, is there any female driver or BRDC Club Member I can insult to distract the headlines from this mess?"

That would be awesome, but it's way too 'MURICAAAAA for F1. F1 is a clean noble European sport, where rich gentlemen are handling hundreds of millions of dollars invested by rich glamorous gentlemen. It's not rugged racin'.

: Schumacher at Monaco is a different case. It was too early to be playing with the field (like he did in Monza 2000, and Austria 200X when Montoya came alongside and gestured him to fucking go already). It really was a mistake from Schumacher while heating the brakes, he locked up and wasn't aware of Montoya's position, squeezing him into the wall. His "I dun goofed" reaction after coming to the pits kinda supported that.
EDIT: I'm realising that maybe you meant exactly that, but I can never tell serious from irony when I read British people, so I'm leaving this here for posterity and because spamming about decades-old incidents is fun.

the best solution for both solve their problems is putting each in an old Peugeot, bring them to a rallycross track and let them race each other until the cars stop running. they'll release the pressure and tension and have a great time banging and rubbin :p

I don't see how an old Peugeot would run for long enough to allow this. :innocent:

But who would come out on top after all their pressure is relieved? :excited:

I mean, it's gotta be someone...

And then they'll release the hidden cam video and make tons of money off of it.

This thread is remarkable that even the FIA now is releasing shady data to support their darling boy hamilton

You know, the same FIA that invented corner/rejoining/repassing rules just so they could strip Lewis of a win 10 year ago

Also each case is judged on its individual merits. So the fact Micheal Schumacher completely stood on the brakes around the blind, dark corner of the monaco Tunnel has no baring here.

We're really in a post-expert, news is "fake news" if it doesn't fit my pre-existing agenda world now aren't we?

In b4 the next theory, Vettel and Hamilton have been told by the new owners to ramp up a rivalry to help the sport.

Here, this will calm you down

I just wanted to thank Toro Rosso and Kvyat for last week's race. Wouldn't have happened without them
