We, the undersigned, request the FIA and FOM that serious consideration is given to reinstate the Canadian Grand Prix for 2009, or failing that, request that all effort is made to return the race to the F1 calendar for 2009.

Furthermore, we request that future decisions to remove Grands Prix from the calendar are made not only for the commercial interest of the sport, but also in the sporting interest.

Thx, I signed, hope that tons of people will do the same. In most simulators this is my favourite track, and the real is even better....challenging, spectacular, and has great history, and don't forget the name of it...

Signed. I can't see how the exclusion can be justified by whomever made the decision, the circuit deserves its' place on the calendar in every meaningful way ...

I admire the persistence, but knowing how successful internet petitions usually are, these petition makers better engrave all these signed names to gold bars before wasting Bernie's time.

Just signed and this is what I wrote

Save the Canadian GP and stop chasing races that are joining the calendar just because they have more money than the Canadian GP.... After all we, the fans and spectators, are the paying customers and not a limited group of organizers. So this is our Voice Mr Berni: the sport is losing its link with the past and it is not getting better as you claim. The sport is giving up its heritage and like any thing for humanity: No Heritage means no identity nor no future.

The government's already on the job...

Code:
Three levels of government agree: Montreal can't afford to lose the Canadian Grand Prix.

Representatives of the federal, Quebec and municipal governments are to meet with Formula One president Bernie Ecclestone "as soon as possible," in an attempt to come to a "financially prudent decision" to guarantee the Grand Prix goes ahead next year.

Internet petitions are pointless, unless there's a connection in a financial sense.
