I kinda agree, but he was told not to. I see Webbers point - there is a 2nd position right in front of him, and he's a racing driver. Who cares what others think, he wants that position and I totally understand that. But it may be career suicide. Red Bull is the best team on the grid, and anything else is a step down. Showing others that you won't obey orders when told, and (apparently) have already been given the advantage through the pit stops isn't going to do him any favours.

I don't think we actually lost anything in the race. Webber ignored the orders which means we seen the race to the end. We weren't robbed of a battle. So from a racing point of view, what Webber did was great. From a career point of view...it wasn't too smart. But then again, if he's coming to the end of his career (just speculating) or has another drive lined up, then it doesn't matter what the team thinks - he's going to go at it like that.

Good battles, lot of changes with the weather, and a very cool last lap.
But quite boring in all the middle part.
7/10 for me.

Alonso did everything he needed to.

But I think Hamilton probably performed above what looked like a poor car. Great effort from Perez and Alg, also.

But what about Heidfeld? The Renault looked worse than the Force Indias and Saubers, but he quietly drove better than Petrov.

Horner was right, there's no reason to complain.
Hold position happens in each and every race. I would complain if they told Webber to let Vettel by, but a simple hold position on the last two laps is just right

IMO I think they (RBR) would've done the same thing had Webber ended up in front of Vettel there.

I was there all weekend and it was amazing.
After the race they allowed everyone onto the track, as we were walking the track we saw some people hoping over the barrier (just after Abbey) and running to a place inside the circuit. Naturally we followed them until we arrived at the back of the paddock. The next thing we knew was Jackie Stewart was walking passed, and then Nikki Lauda. The security put up some barriers but we hung about as the likes of Fernando Alonso, Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa all headed out (no sign of the British drivers, they had all sneaked out through another exit) and signed autographs. Next thing, Ted Kravitz comes out and starts doing his video blog. My friend was lucky enough to raise his opinions on the Red Bull fiasco although he didn't check his glasses before being interviewed on the BBC. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/14100018.stm Skip to about 6minutes 30, and it's obvious which one he is, as he looks like such a tit and even Kravitz manages to mock him (I am also in this but I don't want to say who I am).

My take on it is that Horner doesn't trust his drivers enough that they can't race each other without colliding. Tells you everything you need to know about the the team as well as the drivers. Webber has had a few run ins with other people over the years as has Vettel. We saw some good overtaking during the race by other cars. So my question is which driver do they not trust? Webber or Vettel? or both? Me thinks it is Webber they do not trust.

Enjoyable, although I expected more in the early stages with the mixed conditions.
Certainly not in the league of Canada as EJ suggested.

Well it tends to be when they're overtaking that they mess up and crash into the other car so in this case it was Webber.

After last year, you can hardly blame Horner for having doubts on his drivers.

Webber: Australia, Valencia, Korea
Vettel: Turkey, Spa, [probably one I'm forgetting]

Although credit to both drivers at Silverstone, when Webber was on the outside of Woodcote Vettel left a space for him. Mark backed out because he seen it wasn't going to work. Both drivers gave each other room when racing each other...for the first time.

Well, they weren't fighting for the championship lead and for who should be number 1 driver this time, and had their past experiences doing that in mind. :D
