Magny Cours is a cool enough track, just didn't produce many good races unfortunately. I was disappointed to see it go but anyway I'm sure if it was in this year it could host a great race. |

Istanbul (as above) I don't think Istanbul has provided a dull race. Donington, UK (fingers out of arses, get circuit done) Circuit was done ages ago. It is deliberately not a Grade 1 circuit. |

I'd like to give Dubai Autodrome a go, because it looks like quite a good circuit. Thats only if we lose Bahrain though, I don't want another Middle East voyage. And no, I've changed my mind about Istanbul as well. Used to hate it, but now I like it. They just need the walls to be closer because there's a laughable amount of run-off |

Sadly I imagine Austin and India will also have laughable amount of run offs. Remember when cars would sometimes get stuck in a gravel trap, or hit a tyre wall and retire from the race? It sucks as a spectator as well. I imagine watching an F1 car through Turn 8 to be amazing, but only if you have binoculars. But yeah, pretty much agree with Scotty's calendar, except that I don't mind Istanbul, and I like Catalunya (without the lame chicane). |

FOTA want India on 30th October but they're not completely shutting the door on Bahrain this year. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/92061 |

Ie, "We don't want to go to Bahrain, but we can't say that, so we're implying it instead" |

They were abandoned years ago when the guy funding it turned out to be a moron with no money and a scheme that was so batshit mental that several of us on the forum predicted it'd never ever work. If anyone actually expected it to work, then they were kidding themselves. Donington is in no position to host a GP, and won't be for decades. Even if they upped the circuit a bit, you still have the overwhelming fact that it's impossible to get in and out of the place. The surrounding area can't even cope with BTCC weekend, nevermind a Formula One event. |

Also Mosley questioned sending Garcia to Bahrain as 'He's a nice guy*, but speaks no English and no Arabic, so of course he's going to believe what the government tell him' * = patsy. The Times had a good article today in which several of the facts that Gracia's report left out were established or re-stablished. ---------------------------- Damon is to leave the BRDC as president. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 506802.stm Bit of a shame as he is undoubtedly the best they've ever had. |

Indeed, seeing as he helped get Silverstone back and on for another 16 years Also, Red Bull could be hindered by the exhaust blow ban http://www.f1zone.net/site/exhaust-blow ... port/7221/ |

It's not that confusing. The 2011 Bahrain Grand Prix is cancelled. It will not happen. |

Nah, now the teams can claim it's not legal by the rules, so nobody but the FIA is to blame. The teams haven't said they don't want Bahrain, they've just said they don't want the calender changed. Smart move by the teams because now they get rid of Bahrain without directly insulting the country, and it gets the Indian GP back in place. Well played by Bernie and the teams. Still a poor show by the FIA to vote it in in the first place. |
