There should be a YF whenever those two are close, or anyone close to Magnussen at anytime during the race.

Now I want to see a direct battle between Mad Max and K-Mag. Preferably, Magnussen defending. The only sensible thing to do would be to evacuate all the grandstands and marshall posts before these two get a second apart, lol.

The race track would need bunkers to keep everyone safe in such a situation.

Wonder if FOM will upload any F1 Digital+ coverage onto F1TV?

I was watching the 1986 Australian Gp on F1TV yesterday & found this piece of James Hunt commentary on the final lap to be rather amusing

I also came across this recently.

Michael Latifi, the father of F2 driver Nicholas Latifi, becomes 10% shareholder of McLaren

https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/44200260

It's been said this has nothing to do with Nicholas' career, but I highly doubt.

Apparently next year Pirelli are looking at the 3 compounds at each race simply be called Soft, Medium & Hard regardless of where they sit on there overall range as it's felt that having Hyper, Ultra, Super Soft etc... is a bit confusing.

They will still put out the data saying where the compounds sit on there overall range but on TV, Commentary & internally at teams they want to simplify it in part for the benefit of newer/more casual fans.

TBH I think they should have done this a while ago as the naming of the compounds has got rather silly recently.

There you go, much simpler.

A friend of mine said last year that McLaren is in a decadence spiral similar to Williams and Honda was a scapegoat hiding this.

Now McLaren is under the influence of another wealthy Canadian father of a young driver. Eerily similar to Williams, I would say.

At least they should have renamed after they put a tyre softer than super soft. There was only one hard.

Hyper Soft, Ultra Soft, Super Soft, Soft, Medium, Hard

Could have easily being changed to

Super Soft, Soft, Medium, Hard, Super Hard, Ultra Hard.

And since we never use the Ultra Hard, that wouldn't be a problem. But their solution is even better. The worst for me was when they used the Optimum and Prime names, never got which one was which. It sounded like the best one and the bestest option.
