I wouldn't be so sure about that. This year seems to be the first year he can not only qualify at the front but also not fuck it up. |

Engine related, at least. This engines were designed to rev over 20k RPM (remember they are limited to 18k now) and they've had several years now to increase their reliability. |

I remember the 2002 Belgian GP where engines were blowing up left right and centre but today engine failures are rare indeed. Rules such as 8 engines per year and 4 race gearboxes have certainly made things more reliable and also cut costs down considerably. |
