What do you guys need? It is located in flat boring terrain, and next to a 10-lane highway. All that's missing is stand your ground laws in the general admission areas, alligators in the run-offs, and a cocked-out Florida Man running naked on track prior to the race start. |

Wait, the track is around the Hard Rock Stadium, right? What's this buzz about it being located in a poor area? Most Miami-based events are moving into Hard Rock led by the big tennis tournament after the luxury pensioners prevented a facility upgrade at Key Biscayne. From what I recall the Dolphins owner is one of the richest owners in the NFL. As usual in USA, money talks and it seems like the Dolphins owner is all in on the money in first place. |

I'm a little half cocked, sorry if I ramble. I think the point is, stadium locations don't equal money or nice areas in the US at least. In fact it's usually the opposite. The rich assholes get serious cases of NIMBY combined with higher land value and zoning regs and usually stadiums and tracks wind up in the shit part of town. Mind you, some historic ballparks are in major urban areas that are nice, and some newer stadiums and tracks try to revitalize the surrounding area, but often it's shitville. You don't want to be hanging around where Richmond Raceway is after dark. The Washington Nationals stadium was built in a murder filled shit hole, but I think that may have actually improved. the same happen with Interlagos, there are several poor communities nearby and since it's pubicly owned they wanted to sell the lot to build fancy condos But since the track actually brings profit on concerts and other events, they quit the idea of selling |

So they had to build them where people would literally walk to or ride a bike? The locations stayed over the years, they usually demolish the old stadiums and build the new ones at virtually the same place or nearby? Modern day is different, some rich owner buys a piece of land for cheap and builds the stadium because he knows fans would still get to the place with ease. More people drive cars than horse carriages compared to 1920s for sure! |

funny that Vettel's performance has been declining very sensibly, kinda remembers Jacques Villeneuve Alonso on the other way, despite burning bridges and having to deal with crap equipment, is still able to pull good performances |

This isn't the first un-Miami track in Miami. There was also Tamiami Park which was inland a bit as well. But that was actually a decent track, narrower, and didn't have ridiculous tarmac runoffs. |
