#Borecelona

10 laps of slightly close racing (never thought a pass was likely to happen though) doesn't make up for a whole lot of nothing but pit stops before that.

Those whining about the DRS also have nothing to say when the only overtakes we got today were blatently too easy tyre related passes. I'd prefer DRS over that.

FIA overreacted to the whining about DRS in Turkey so gave too short a zone for Spain.

Saying this was the best Spanish GP is like saying which of Bernie's ideas is the best because it's the slightly less crazy one.
Doesn't make them good.

TV Director fell asleep too. Or it was the work experience boy getting trained up on a less exciting race.
Either way some of the little action that happened was missed, annoying.

Good. They did ignore yellows. Hamilton and Webber set new fastest S2s, and Button and Alguersuari set PBs.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Won't affect the race order

And yeah, FIA reacted to Turkey DRS... by making the zone longer.

The gaps in the top are so big that I see it very unlikely that positions will change. Not sure about Alguersuari though, but that's quite meaningless since he's outside the points.

I have a feeling making the whole track a DRS zone wouldn't help here...track is only good for bikes tbh

With more pit-stops & the other things going on through the field, I think FOM desperately need to bring in a Picture-In-Picture system now.

It would allow them to cover 2 things at once, Today for instance they could have covered Vettel's pit-stop while staying with Alonso/Webber. Could also have stuck with the fight for the lead while also covering live or via replay some of the passes going on further back.

No, it won't change the order, but it is good that the stewards were paying attention.

That's complicated technology, F1 tv coverage isn't ready for that. Maybe in 10 years they will have the systems available to bring this brand new technology you call Picture-In-Picture into the coverage.

FOM were shit today.

Kamui Kobayashi completed 65 laps on 3 sets of tyres.

Fernando Alonso completed 66 laps on 5 sets.

Just pointing out the disparity in strategies.

Best race in Barcelona in a very long time but that's still only good enough for a 5.

Felipe Massa didn't complete the race distance

Ferrari need to exchange Bianchi with Kobayashi for next year

Jokes aside, I heard the spanish commentators talk about gearbox problems.

Maybe they have an insider in Ferrari pits because of Alonso and all, I don't know.
