I seem to be in the minority because I think an F1 race along the Strip is pretty damn cool. Yeah the layout isn't amazing but that's not the point, as long as it's not terrible it'll do the job |

Yeah, going to Vegas is already one of my favorite things, I can't imagine how cool it'd be to go there for an F1 race. I'm sure it'll be insanely expensive and price out us normal people though. |

As an American... I long for a return to a more traditional schedule of European centric tracks. One of the attractions to me of F1 is that it's NOT here. We don't need three races. Americans are fickle and Miami along with Vegas will be gone within a few years. There are precious few of us that have gotten up at 7AM on a Sunday for the last 30 years to watch a race we pretty well knew was over after qualifying... Yet we did it anyway. I understand the want to expand that and grow from the precious few, but they would do well to understand why there are comparatively so few of us in the first place. The casual fans that are coming into the sport now will, in all likelihood, not stay when they realize that what they've seen on Netflix isn't what the championship is really like. Beware Formula 1 of treading the same worn ground that NASCAR walked and has spent a decade and a half trying to find it's way back on the right path. What made Formula 1 great in 1992 would still work today if they'd just let it. They're trying so hard to bring the sport to the people (which is what these goddamn street course are all about) instead of working to bring the people to the sport. You don't change who you are to suit the audience as it's a constantly moving target. |

Kinda boring layout. I made a small path of it in Google Earth.  First corners will be at parking section and T6 will be in place which is still not finished (at least at google images) That main straight section from T9 -> T11 have about 1900m  They really love making street tracks with massive speeds now Straight between T4 and T5 will have something like 900m |

Two DRS zones....on the same straight? How long is Baku's section? Having never been to Vegas, I checked out the Vegas Strip on Google Maps, and um, if street view is anything to go by, they will need to do a good job of resurfacing the road. That road condition looks atrocious. And it goes from 5-6 lanes wide to 4 lanes wide in several sections. That doesn't seem very wide for a 340+ kph 2km long blast. |

the argentines also love motorsports in general, their local championships have very talented drivers and good racing overall, the problem is mostly economic so F1 there is quite impossible |

I jogged a lap of the Albert Park grand prix circuit and the new turn 9 section looks incredible. No run off just slight bends with concrete walls both sides. Although it means the massive viewing area is now redundant. Oh and the weather forecast looks fantastic. Mid-high 20's the whole weekend and no rain. |

The hill is still there, and there's a grandstand on the outside of the corner (pretty much where the corner entry would be) but there's no other grand stands there. |
