don't understand the people who vote 5,6.

which race would you describe as 1,2,3 then? :S

It was a 2 in my opinion, dull race with the same winner all over again, nearly no overtakings even with DRS.
But it was nice for Fernando to finish second and I think that there cannot be just exciting and eventful races like in Montreal, there have to be
dull races aswell to "calm" us.

2 from me

The 2004 Hungarian GP. You have not witnessed boredom until you have seen that race. I would recommend watching it, but you may actually die of boredom. It made Valencia 2011 look like the greatest race in motorsport history.

Hungary 2004, the first time I ever intentionally stopped watching an F1 race to do something else. I rated this race 3, seems a bit overly generous though.

He was coming out of the pits. BBC talked about it afterwards. Should have been punished, but meh.

Should have been punished for the incident with Petrov then, if the stewards were to follow the precedent that was set when Di Resta was penalised in Canada for the same thing.

Now thats rather impressive

Quote:
Red Bull boss Christian Horner has labelled championship leader Sebastian Vettel a 'perfectionist' who 'never ceases to surprise' after watching the German cruise to victory in the European Grand Prix. "At one point [in the race in Valencia], we hadn't told him we had put the prime (harder) tyres on Mark's [Webber] car because we didn't want him to push any harder," said Horner. "But then he came on the radio and said: 'What time is Mark doing on the primes?' We all looked at ourselves and thought 'Who told him?' Of course, he was watching the big TV screen as he was going round."

Didn't this race produce an amazing 0 overtakes in either 08 or 09. Yet, we got an on-track move for 2nd, the top 3 running within about 5 seconds for 40 laps of the race, the McLaren's nursing problems, a fight between Rosberg and Jimmy A for 7th, Sutil closing on Jaime for the last few laps, and that cluster-fuck for 12th-15th for the last few laps. I mean, some of those aren't greatly important in the overall scheme of things, but there was action. It's just it was neither Canada nor Monaco levels. I gave it 5. By this season it wasn't great, but I fail to see how it was as bad as others made out.

I think the problem is that people sometimes sees these things bi-polar, black and white. They go 9 to 10 when it's exciting and then when it doesn't exactly thrill they go to 1 or 0. It's like Amazon, most ratings appear to be 5 or 1. You're either happy with the product you received or not (Usually some middle-aged woman ranting about something IN CAPITALS).

But that shows how bloody boring the race is as he can afford to look at the TV screen to see what his rivals are doing!

Or how little concentration you need to drive a Red Bull.

Too true, there is no way Luizzi or Karthikeyan would be able to do that in their HRT cars as it will rattle their grashers off their gums!

I think once we heard that press conference interviewer (it was Constanduros at that time) mentioning "hot and exciting Hungarian Grand Prix". Well, probably everyone agreed that one of adjectives was correct and other one not.

Exactly the logic I used when watching the race. It wasn't incredible, and not even close to most of the races this season. But at no point was I *really* bored. There was always something happening, just the things which were happening weren't incredible.

It was fine. Average. Ordinary.

If it doesn't take much to drive a Red Bull then Webber must be borderline retarded judging by his efforts I guess.

Anyway, it's a relatively common thing for a smart driver to do. Hakkinen and DC used to do it too.

Give Jimmie Johnson credit, even with 5 straight championships, at least he doesn't win 30 races a year.

Knowing F1 and their constant rule changes, Vettel may end up winning 0 races next year and some other driver/team will rape the field.

Some of you guys need to understand that people have different opinions.

I saw the race and to me, it was phisically painful to watch. I don't give a fuck about previous races. I thought this race was shit, and gave it a 1. Big deal.

Fuck, even in the race thread, I said that I thought Vettel sounded fake on the radio after the end, and I almost got crucified. WTF is up with that.

That's what you do on a message forum - propose a meaningless vote or discussion topic, then talk to death how every reply to it is wrong.
