I keep seeing articles about Ferrari being close and having stuff up their sleeve.

Mercedes only showed their speed once in testing and they were faster on mediums than a car behind on softs.

softs, super softs and ultra softs.
Mercedes did about 14 GP distances on 8 days and were still faster than some on much softer tyres. Ferrari topped the charts with fast laps on very fast tyres, but will be nowhere near the pace on Sunday.

Well, even a chance on splitting the Mercs would be something. But who knows. Maybe Mercs turbo boost goes all kaboom on them. Just a few more hours....

So...it's 3.30am wake-up call for me. They better do some laps even though it will rain! Luckily, I think everyone is keen to set up their cars, especially since the qualifying looks also wet.
Try to catch some sleep before FP1.

's uncle is Cameron McConville. Apparently his finger got caught behind the wheel, so I hope he is ok.

Heaviest rain seems to have passed through Melbourne now, so maybe we'll see some cars.

Sun is out here (I'm 20min from the track) track will probably be dry by the time practice starts, with other cars drying it up before hand.

There could still be some showers.

Track drying up.
Sound-wise I'm not hearing a difference.
