Otherwise problem free weekend but then Kimi does mistakes just when it counts. Bad thing.

It pains me to see drivers setting laps with wheels well over the white line around parabolica.. :(

Actually each team can make ONE gear ratio adjustment during the season. I expected teams like Marussia, Ferrari or Sauber (those with the shortest gears this year) to use that allowed change for Monza onwards, but it doesn't seem like it's the case. Unless the change they would have made is too subtle for me to notice !

This is the gear ratio data from Austria :

Apparently, Red Bull changed their gearing at Spa (new is colored, old is greyed out)

Glad to see Hamilton back on top for the sake of some inter team shenanigans; such a delicious fight that. Wonder what advantages this new chassis has given vettel, if anything, he's had rics measure all weekend.

Looking at the speeds & split times I think Rosberg could be running less downforce than Hamilton. Nico is a couple kph faster in the speed trap & was usually the faster of the 2 in sector 1 with Lewis gaining the time back through sectors 2/3.

If correct it should make the 1st lap interesting if Nico is close enough to make use of any extra speed.

Lewis will need to ensure he gets his tyrs and brakes at optimum levels and utilises that advantage he has in t2 and the dirty air rosberg will be in to pull enough of a breather come Ascari, assuming he gets the jump from the start of course. Wonder if a Williams can stick it's nose into 2nd at t1 as well. Fun.

Ericsson starts from the pits and gets three points on his licence for speeding in a yellow zone.

maybe we can see more passing on the parabolica, but I don't know if the stewards will approve the white line breaching in the race

The officials don't have any material in the rulebook to punish advantage from just 2 wheels over the white line, do they?

No, two tyres just merely touching the while line is enough. Does anyone know if even one tyre is enough?

except for red bull, that might go a bit over the line with a full loaded car
