You see Lewis, 'happy' isn't a stern face.

Wonder if Vettel could find himself with a penalty (probably a fine) for cutting the track at T4-6 on an in-lap. The drivers were told that you do not cut that part of the circuit.

It decreases tire wear as well. So, coinsidering the tire reality these days, that's quite an advantage. 10 place penalty please !

Observations from photographer Sutton after Japan

Quote:
I was shooting in parc ferme after qualifying and I saw Lewis get out of the car and thought "Where the hell is he going?" And he went across to Michael and we had the whole finger pointing and "What were you doing?" sort of situation. It was only when I saw the footage after that I realised why he was so angry. That was one of the stories of the weekend, and Lewis was bizarre the whole time. He was completely separate in the standard shot after qualifying, then he went in to the press conference and he was just so blank; he didn't want to explain it. Then the next day in the driver's parade he was just spaced out, he'd ignore all shouts from photographers and he was just on a different planet. It was bizarre, and I can understand why people are talking about it, because it's not good.

Something isn't right with Lewis at all.

Yeah, lets have a go at him for something that happened last weekend when he was having a fairly crappy race meeting. Highly relevant.

Sebastian Vettel’s qualifying performance in Korea is under investigation after the FIA Stewards received a report that the Red Bull driver cut a corner in the Turn 4-5 section of the circuit. An investigation is taking place now.

Diniz did the same thing in Hockenheim 2000, cutting the Ostkurve chicane, and had his fastest time deleted.

ps: check the photo of hamilton on autosport. What the hell is wrong with him? It's either as if he is very sad or he did something bad in his personal life

Well as long as he isn't affecting his health too much then I don't mind because he is driving awesomely this weekend.

I'm sure all the pressure and negative press has 'hurt' Lewis more than everyone thought.

Yeah, because if you're having issues they can be solved in seven days. I was just highlighting what observers said and trying to work out why he seemed down.

Surprised Vettel wasn't given a fine because he quite clearly flouted something the drivers were explicitly told not to do

More the "dour git" comment I'm reacting to than anything else. Story you linked to was interesting, but seems a bit unnecessary to connect to events this weekend.

This whole Hamilton issue is a bit concerning but as usual its been blown out of proportion. He had a similar demeanor about him after Turkey '10 which was only in the grand scheme of things a minor thing.

His mood reminds me of a certain someone's just before his demise.

when I feel bad for whatever reason, then I often play my best footballmatches. it's difficult to explain it, some kind of 'f*ck you all' attitude which makes you are more concentrated perhaps when playing footbal, or just giving that one percentage more.

So I can imagine lewis taking a tiny bit more risks, having this 'I'll show them' attitude which got him pole position today.

I wonder if Rosberg will be able to get up there with the leaders with all of the Mercedes' straight line speed and the two big straight right after the start, maybe he can redo what he did at Spa (I know he started 5th there but still). I wouldn't be surprised if he's up to at least P4 by T3.

My Korean is only as good as Google Translate's, but apparently the only support race this weekend is the Superrace Championship (CJ Hellovison Superrace? CJ Tving Superrace? It seems to have many names.), and aside from racing the obvious homegrown stuff like the Genesis Coupe and hatchbacks from Kia and Chevy-Daewoo, they have a class for Cadillac-bodied Brazillian Stock Cars?!
