I'm a bit worried about this diffuser thing, if it ends up going to the stewards they might kick out those teams and mess up whatever result we see at the weekend (see Belgium for example)...

I can't see that happening. The teams will already have FIA approval for those designs already. I doubt anyone will be disqualified. What we might see though is a quick clarification of the rules, and maybe some forced changes to certain designs before the second race of the season.

Seems to me that it's basically a bunch of teams bitching because their design departments weren't clever enough to think outside the rules.

Pretty surprised Red Bull are one of the main campaigners to be honest, given that Adrian Newey is famed for clever interpretations of design rules.

erm, it's not about the difuser thing, read the article...

FIA still needs to pay some money of the commercialrights to those teams ;)

It's OK Shaddix, I think we're having two conversations running parallel.

Im sick over this illegal diffuser gate. Why the fuck all teams cant go through FIA scrutiny during final test? Sure we need again stupid politics. Let them race :flag:

You are right.

NVirkkula, I also had the same thought as you but paying more attention to the details, FIA said while back to RBR and Renault that it was not allowed, so they didn't develop it(diffuser), now they are behind in this matter. In aerodynamics is not like that "copy exactly some part of other car and it suits perfectly in your own car." Mclaren tried this Brawn GP diffuser in Jerez, if they are bitching, it is because they couldn't make it work together with the other parts of the car.

If I were a FIArrari believer, that is, one who thinks FIA always helps Ferrari, I would bet it won't be allowed once Ferrari is not the top car.

I really have to be certain about my alarm clock, because of the summertime sunday.

Bernie wanted to have the race later, at 17.00 local time. Then, it's here 8.00. It would be better for the European public.
Why doesn't he let them race at 11.00 local time? It's midnight over here, and you can bet that there are many more viewers, no?

I don't quite like it to get up this late for Melbourne. What's wrong with it to get up at 4/5 for the first F1 race of the year?

I can´t wait! this season looks one of the best, if it´s possible one better than last year....

Mclaren slowest?
BrawnGp fastest?
Ferrai able to win the first races?
And Alonso, BMW, Toyota?
Vettel will win again?

What about Toro Rosso, Force India and Red Bull? any surprise?
