What a ridiculous amount of grid penalties again. The limited engines to be used per season to cut costs doesn't really work, so I think they need to rethink this penalty system. Sure, a mixed up grid is nice but qualy is a farce now. The result completely changes come Sunday race start. They should just put everyone with a penalty at the back, and already show this during qualy on the timing tower (so the 9 drivers today with penalties are just fighting for spots 11 to 20).

Yeah, if you have a grid penalty, you can only drive on Q3. Simple and effective.

I appreciate the tactics some teams employ with tows but I also find it annoying as they knock out a driver that won’t get a penalty and now can’t improve his starting position even more

How will Ferrari fuck it up tomorrow?

My guess is miscalculation of the fuel and they strand meters before the line

George's luck continues:

Outqualified by his team mate on a lap where he was given the slipstream.

Starts 2nd

On that basis, Max will be 1st by Ascari.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

At least Max goes for it right away. He could tease us by staying behind Charles giving us the illusion he actually might not win and then cruise by with 2 to go

So Verstappen has a 5 place grid penalty and starts 4th.
Good luck explaining that to a Netflix fan.

Me, a fan for 35 years, is confused.

Also. Apparently leclerc crossed a track limit so he might get a penalty.

They waited until the crowd went home before they announced that

Is that even going to matter? If he did, wouldn't they just delete his fastest lap? In which case, he would still start on pole as his next fastest lap was good enough for 2nd, so moot point I think.

Verstappen then would have pole and move up 1 spot on the grid.
