What a lap from Norris. He's having a brilliant season. I just wish Ricciardo could get himself up to the front as well. In terms of race pace, I'd be surprised if Norris can keep himself at the front, but a podium may be possible if Mercedes struggle in traffic and chew their tyres up.

Fantastic effort from Russell as well. Surely a chance for Williams to score some points this time?

Thomas maher on Twitter is saying that if McLaren had 2 Daniels we’d be calling the MCL35M a terrible car. He’s quite right there. He also questions if it’s time for McLaren to take action. Not sure on that one tbh. Unless they know something we don’t know.

Wow Mercedes aren't even the fastest Mercedes any more...

I have no idea why Russell is seemingly a Shoe-in for the Merc seat, it seems to be Toto wants to honour a promise he made about 4 tears ago to put Russell there, when tbh there's another British driver he should be looking hard at the contract of to see if there's any wiggle room.... :whistling:

Norris shares are at an all time high. Anyone willing to take him away from McLaren will have to pay big bucks (plus giving him a fat wage)

Bottas and Sainz called to the stewards for driving too slow at T9 in Q2

Hell of an effort by Russell, but doubt it. The Ferrari's have strong race pace, as does Alonso who's out of position, so I expect Russell to slide out of the points tomorrow.

I guess is time to quit this slow down bulshit for good

Take the average time of FP3. Add a few seconds to that and that’s the minimum lap time they must run in qualy. Failure to do so = 2 penalty points and back to the grid with oldest tyres.

There is maximum time for reconnaissance laps before the race and after qualifying. In this event it's 1.10,0 and the time is taken between safety car lines. Verstappen used around 49,5 seconds for that during his pole lap.

Probably could be used for all laps?

Mercedes have just fallen off a cliff. I know that Wolff has said that they aren't going to develop this car any further, but does any one really believe him? I know that this is their boogey track, but this has been a pattern for the last 4 or so races.

And the really concerning thing with Ricciardo is that he doesn't know why he is so slow. That's not very confidence building on his or McLarens behalf. He is going backwards.

Considering how much Mercedes, Lewis, Shovelin and various other people have talked about a big update for Silverstone, I'm not sure Toto was bullshitting so much as just plain mistaken

Kid can’t catch a break. Watch him get Bottas’ seat next year and Mercedes totally fuck up their 2022 car
