Oh yes, I do. You are totally right. That's why I provided good reasonable justification including a video...

Enjoy your trolling, I'm out.

For the record, my strong wordedness was not aimed at you.

Just thought. Vettel could win the title without winning a European race. Has that ever occurred before?

I don't think so.

Oh I know, but I just wanted to acknowledge you as I'd originally made the point that I felt Vettel was 100% at fault.

But didn't the car break? He braked early and the car twitched before locking the loaded wheel. Sure sign of a failure.

I think if it was a driver fault or a car failure, it's still a fair penalty for removing the Torro Rosso from the race.

The team is penalised as much as the driver....

I think the worst punishment they'll get is a team/driver fine.

They won't dare change the result.

Absolute worse, 5 places for Japan, nothing more.

If any penalty is fair then it is merely a reprimand. As ellis has already pointed out, Vettel was braking into a corner rather than on the straight so here should be no fine, grid drop or change of the result.

They'd take the being put behind Button because that'll mean Vettel won't retire in the next race

So much for saying the car didn't slow down properly then.

"There was a problem with the car so we need to look into it"

Turns out it was the driver.

Or that it was behind a fricking Torro Rosso which isn't what Mercedes wanted from their big new upgrade...

if you're replying to my post then let me be clear, I don't think anyone should cop a penalty for that one.

But as I've been saying about 50 times today on the podcast, There's ALWAYS a difference between what the fans think SHOULD happen and what actually does happen.

I can't see even the stewards doing too much about this one though, as I say, maybe at the worst a penalty for Japan but I don't see them switching the result, which is what some are fearing.

That's the main issue for Mercedes. Again they've not developed a car as well as they'd hoped.

Regarding Michael, I'm not the biggest fan but he just doesn't seem to learn at all. Yes, he's had terrible luck. Yes, his qualifying record compared to Rosberg is good. But several times in his comeback he's just made such bad judgements in racing situations. His pace is improving, his racecraft is just poor.
