We did see some overtaking thanks to DRS, KERS and Pirelli. Last season that would have been welcome. However, I have to rate it based on what we've seen THIS year, and it was dire. 2/10.

I mean, 24 finishers? Are the cars that easy to drive now? Or is that that we're on a "street" circuit which actually has as much run off as Bahrain? Or are the drivers just really that good now? I dunno. It just sucks.

What I think is pretty remarkable is the fact that although there is a huge amount of marbles off the racing line thanks to Pirelli it has not caused any sort of trouble this year. I actually expected more mistakes from the drivers due to that.
Also the amazing reliability this year is starting to annoy me a bit...

Anyway, this race?? A 5 from me.

Overall a quite boring race. There were some good parts right at the beginning. But overtaking could hardly been seen.
Quite nice was that all 24 cars finished the race

Alguersuari made a great race. Must be his Spanish fans who pushed him to this excellent drive :flag:

Alonso, without him it would have been like the Red Bulls were on their own league.

If he wins every race left to go, he surpassses Alonso.

Such a stupid comparison. I'm pretty sure you'd have given Lewis a car as good as the 2010 and 2011 RBR's he have won a bucketload more races. Schumacher has over twice as many wins as Senna, does that make him twice as good?

Christ, the criticism of Vettel for trivial things is silly. As is such a comparison. Winning is as much down to circumstance and just how good your car is.

Vettel didn't had a good car in 2007 and 2008....

Yeah I'm convinced this track will never be good for F1 cars.

The Webber crash is literally the only moment of note I can ever remember happening here.
I remember sitting on the on-board feed last year and watching Kobayashi overtake a few cars after the SC but I was mainly paying extra attention to that because nothing else was happening.

GP3 put on a good race with the leaders running side by side for half a lap as well as many other overtakes.
GP2 was good in fits and starts with the odd overtaking manuever amid a more formulaic race.
GP1 (lol)...why bother.
Aside from those random 2 laps when 4 cars started battling all of a sudden, Alonso's and Button's good moves, this race was a non-event.

I might not even watch next year.

Move over Hungaroring, F1 has a new worst track!

Tilke has made done pretty average tracks/modifications over the years but Valencia goes straight to the top. Even Hungary has produced a few decent races (86, 89) but in 4 Valencia races there's been DTM action.
