Its the same group that also owns Wrexham AFC. Wonder if they'll link up the 2 to promote both.

Superleague coming up. Ferrari could be Juventus

Every year is the same, "we're going back for China Grand Prix and Macau Grand Prix"

Suzuka will be interesting with blooming spring flowers. Actually the length of the day on April 7th is only 40 minutes longer than on September 24th, so light is pretty similar.

Still don't get it why they can't swap Imola and Montreal. Surely it's not too cold on May 19th?

China round depends on what they do with Russia. If they remain "neutral" (yeah right), it's will go on, but if they form a formal alliance, then it's not going to happen.

Also if China imposes an embargo on Taiwan, I don't think F1 will race there (China, not Taiwan, although Taiwanese GP would be a sweet middle-finger for China).

Baku in mid-September could mean wetter weather, but at least last year there was 30°C around that date, so probably not. Sunset occurs 46 minutes earlier, so maybe they will bring the schedule forward by one hour.

Suzuka in April. Yikes. That's right in the monsoon season so expect some major weather dance in progress.

Well, looking at Suzuka weather history, last time April 5th was wet was 2015. So I don't think the risk of rain is much higher than in October or late September...unfortunately. :whistling:

or fortunately given how they're prone to cancel races due to inclement weather

unless FIA comes up with the sprinklers+sprint initiative

Calendar makes more sense than this year, but I still don´t understand why there has to be a summer break between Belgium and Netherlands.

And fuck China!

and a month between Singapore and Austin. Perhaps that's the Russia slot that they're willing to fill and get that sweet oligarch money

Cedric Vasseur clearly says F1 doesn't need the 11th team. I guess as long as Liberty stays in charge we are stuck with the craddle of ten.

We’ll of course nobody wants an eleventh team as that would generally mean the other teams might get less of a share of the revenue, and Liberty won’t want it because it’ll likely hurt their ESG score.

Greedy bastards. If I was F1 Führer, I would punish them for speaking against new teams by giving the existing teams $500M penalty, and order that 5 billion pot of money to be given to the new 3 teams. Bwahaha!

Don't they understand that 6 new drivers would mean that there might be room for Indian, Brazilian, Japanese, Italian or Argentinian drivers -> F1 gets popular in those countries -> F1 gets more fans and media exposure -> it means more money for F1 in general (even though that's not why I'm interested in new teams) -> F1 renevue share will grow, let's say, exponentially.
So in a long run their greediness is a bad strategy in terms of making more money.
