I think most of the cars will look better on track than in the renders/studio shoots.

I really hate reading this forum sometimes

really hope that too. Not cause im italian or cause im ferrari supporter but just for the fact that their drivers lineup is awesome and a duel between alonso and kimi for the championship, considering their caracters, would be totally awesome.

by the way i'm pretty sure this will be their only year togheter.

Given Ferrari subpar performance the past five years. I'll trade ugly design for a fast car.

Ferrari looks absolutely fine folks....like I said before, I have seen so many weird things through the decades. And Ferrari is the best design so far, absolutely! I was expecting that exact design, I'm even surprised that my expectation over Ferrari is exactly what I was imagining!

About not buying F1 diecast models anymore, c'mon, c'mon!!!!!!!! These crazy designs are what makes the diecast models become even more attractive in its artistic point of view.

I know i wont be buying any of 2014 and beyond... models
Even if all are 1 euro

I don't understand why. It's great to have this "ugly" cars on a colection. It's part of F1 evolution and I rather have cars with different designs than a lot of them that look all the same.

I just don't buy diecast models because they are too expensive, and if I had to, would obviousy go for Benettons from late 80's and other 1985-1995 models. something personal, I'm not a big fan of the F1 cars designs from post 1998

Cosworth have revealed some images of the engine it designed for F1 2014.
http://www.racecar-engineering.com/news ... ower-unit/

Shame that they couldn't find the backing to be able to use it this year. They say they will continue to develop it so maybe we'll see Cosworth back in F1 in the next few years.

More interesting of that article that Volskwagen was actually involved. Not just rumours.

I'd like it if we all decided amongst ourselves to only post official images in this thread, maybe have a seperate one for spyshots or render guesswork, etc.

It seems anyone with a copy of MS paint from 1997 can draw a few wobbly lines over a picture and claim it's going to be one of the cars pre-launch.... :o

They will. As long as they're moving fast, sliding around, fighting each other on the track, I'll enjoy the show.

However, I will reluctantly look away when they're standing still in the pits, and I will not look at a single F1 still picture this year (tbh, except for crashes, the newest F1 pictures in my collection are from 2004, just before all hell broke lose and simple, slick design was thrown out the window).

This was meant to work in 2012 as well.
