I'd go as far though to say that the Ferrari is the 9th fastest car out there at the moment and that only Alonso's brilliance is making it look anywhere near reasonable.

I'm willing to bet that's an accurate statement. Put another driver of Massa's not exactly massive skill level (relatively speaking) in the other Ferrari (let's say De La Rosa or Petrov) and they'd be qualifying 22nd in that car. Worst Ferrari since 1992?

Ferrari has a very bad car, but 22nd? C'mon, do you really think a Ferrari would qualify behind Caterham and Marussia? You exaggerated. About the 1992 Ferrari, its too early to say anything, but its the worst start for Ferrari in a long looooong time. Anyway you can never doubt in Ferrari recovering skills, let's see what will happen next.

It's going to be a dream season If we have a Hamilton x Schumacher battle for the title. Old generation VS New generation, wheel to wheel disputes...well, dreaming is for free, isnt it?

Channel 10 didn't show, mention or replay the pass for the lead 2 laps from the end of V8 race 3. Pretty ridiculous.

how will Alonso rape the field when Ferrari is slower than anybody apart of new teams?

Channel 10 really knows how to do a pre-race buildup... if only every race was like that.

Then again it does make the start of the season in Australia special..

He has the skill to battle up to a top ten place but it's going to be an on the edge drive. I wouldn't be too surprised to see one ferrari crash out because they push hard.

The forum is quiet given the pre-race show has started. Or has no-one got a good stream. This channel 10 one is great but would be nice to see what the sky pre-race is doing.

Anyone anticipating a mayhem at the start? It seems inevitable.
Still, one must remember we had a clean start last year.

We only had mayhem with one start last year right (Monza)? If it will be the same as last year, I don't expect mayhem...

10 years ago since the last mega crash here. You never know.

The sun is shining and the track is dry.
